Lisa, I still love you. and would miss you very much if you left. I know exactly what you're talking about, and I've felt it too. Hopefully everybody's just not very talkative, and will get over it soon? I'm not sure, but I've noticed less and less motivation to post and reply lately as well.

I'm sorry about your son. Josh went through that last year, and it took an "anonymous" trip to the principle to set things right. I hope that whatever it takes, the bad stuff will all be over soon.

lisa,

baby, aloha...

yo, there's a lot of love here...i have no answer about why people respond or not to posts...you'ree right i think
we had a more equananimous welcome wagon for newbies before the list got big...also we see 'lurker's' who
say hi and don't come back to see their replies or answer 'em...

and folks who don't know this is HOME and put no information in their profiles...hard to answer someone who says
nothing about him/herself.

this whole thing is kind of about cycles over which we have only a limited control...i know some of ould friends
have had some computer access problems...and personal events and stuff falling from the skies...who knows.

personally i read everything except the poetry section...i respond to every post (save one) that provokes
my sense of preposterousicty and every post in which i think i can add something...and since we get a lot
of newbies asking the same questions, well i try not repeat myself more than three times a year...we have search.

i do so wish you well

hippy happy melting chocolate hugs
aB

I'm very sorry to hear you've had this experience and plan to send you some personal thoughts separately. I think many here, including myself, are frequent visitors but infrequent posters for a wide variety of reasons. On a more technical note, I've always wondered why some bulletin boards even display the # of "views" a post has? Whether or not I read a post has nothing to do with how "popular" the post may be and it can't help but bum a person out when many have viewed without replying. I wonder what others think of this??

((AngelMom)) I plead guilty and ask for forgiveness. I tend to read a lot but sometimes I feel so crummy that I don't answer. I get so much out of knowing you are all here. Also, sometimes after I post, I think what I said sounds so silly tht I hate to post. Pain meds can really do that to me especially if I am posting in the middle of the night.

I also know that there are many posts that people just don't know the answer to like my post about Laura. There have been over 100 "looks" at it and no answers so I just feel bad that we are all not in touch with her when I feel like she probably really needs us.

At times I have felt the "clique" thing then other times I feel so completely accepted and around family. I think my different feelings have a lot to do with me and what is going on in my life at the time.

Please hang in. You are loved here and appreciated and I am making a conscious commitment right now to answer as many posts as possible. There are just so many and also so many that I know nothing about. I still care so I should at least say that.

Hugs.

Hi, Lisa:

I cannot speak for the whole group, but I hope that you know that I read your post, but did not respond--in writing. Certainly, as you request, my own thoughts and prayers are with you and your friend, in addition to my own sister now with cancer and my father's wife with cancer again (not that they are classified and prayed over by disease...). We are each going through things that there are not words enough to help, but posting on the board is still helpful: EVERYTHING in our lives is ON-TOPIC if it affects us, whether or not directly related to AS.

So, I apologize to You for not responding to you directly, but I appreciate very much that you came here to share with us and I hope that you appreciate that we may not always reply, but there are still many of us thinking of you and praying, also.

Love,
John

Hi Miss Heather,

I hope you know that I in no way am trying to cause trouble or want to shake things up.

I just know how I felt, and have talked to others about feeling the same way.

I do think AS is clicky, but I dont think it is meant in a bad way.

You have to remember that some members have been here for years and have developed friendships with people here. You newbies have to do your time just like the rest of us have...lol

I think where the oldies (no hurt intended) need to come in is that we need to be here to support our newbies. We as the older members have to show the new ones how things are done and I think the best way would be support.

Not everyone is going to be the same in personality but that doesnt have to stop ANY of us from being kind to one another...especially in times of crises.

Heather, I hope I have never done anything to hurt your feelings. I want you to know that anything you post is importent to me. I am here anytime if you want to talk to me, pm me if you want to.

Lisa
