((Jeanna)) I had posted you a long post but I must have not hit the submit button because it is not here.
I am not going to rewrite all of that. I just want you to know I am thinking about you and that getting my gall bladder out was one of the better things I have done in my life. I woke up in recovery feeling ten times better.

You have lots of friends here who care a lot about you. Don't ever worry about venting here.

Hope you are feeling better.

Blessings.

Hi stustys babes and mr strusty lol

Now a little lesson I learned a while back as I had a little go at inflamed liver back in the olden days when I was graduating (not in spelling) morphine and derivitives as in any codines cause a biliary spasm, damed if you do damed if you don't, great ehh, but if like me you can always try distractional therapy, like a six pound hammer to an affending limb or person!! LOL sorry I'm in a bit of a crazy mood tonight.

I hope you get this sorted real soon, but yes stay away from Heavy rich foods because with that going on there is also the other side effect from not having the bile to emulisify things, nuff said, Dr Laura checking out.

PS Are you both at the same address you gave me, I am hoping(really, and honestly to write to you both soon)

Love you both, big hugs Laura xx

Thanks Wind Rider. Glad that your problems seem to be sorted. I'm actually feeling half human again today, I was getting worried I wouldn't ever feel good again. That being said, I'm really looking forward to getting it out, whenever that happens. For now, I'll say thanks to cipro and be cautious until they decide to take it out.

Hugs,
Jeanna

Thanks Kat, and you're welcome for the reminder not to blame everything on the AS. Now of course, I'm hyperacute to it, and wondering if each little pang is gallstone or AS. Frankly, it's doing my head in. The sooner I get this out the better.

Thanks again Evelyn, for always being there. I can't believe how long I felt crummy, but I'm hoping that I've finally turned a corner. I've taken longer off of work than I normally would. I feel like this was a bit of a wake up call about how hard I've been pushing it lately.

Honey, if I had a penny for every time I did this to myself ... hell, I'd outdo Bill Gates for riches!!!!

Jeanna, the power of the mind is monumental. You can talk yourself out of the worry as easily as you can talk yourself into it. (So says the woman worth more than 60 billion pennies!! ) Just relax, take it easy and heal, OK?

Love & Hugs,

Kat

Dear Ray,

It touched my heart that you called me "Our Strutsy". Made me smile when I was quite down.

I've heard that kidney stones are unbearably painful, but had no idea that gall stones could be so bad. Incidentally, they tell me that my gall stone is 'large', without comment on the actual size, so I wonder if the pain is proportional to the size. I just want the pesky thing to stay inside my gall bladder for a very long time, or at least until I have the whole sucker removed.

So far, no horrible flare to report, but I was feeling so crummy for so long, I'm not sure I can remember my usual baseline y'know.

Love and hugs to you and Carol.

Hi Buggie:

Thanks for your reply, and for your reassurance that gall stones can happen to younger people. Your history is quite complicated with the pregnancy + H. pylori / ulcers + gall stones. In fact, tomatoes tend to be more related to ulcer pain, but everyone is very individual.

I realised yesterday if I grazed all day long I seemed to cope better than with 3 main meals. Harder to do once I'm back at work, but I'll keep it in mind. I'm gluten free, which isn't the same as low starch, but can be fairly close depeneding on the day. I've been limiting fat (which can be difficult with GF) and spicy/rich stuff. And for me, eliminating tea / coffee and alcohol isn't that difficult (though as per usual, now that I can't drink alcohol, I find myself wanting just one drink *sigh*)

Hugs to you Buggie,
Jeanna

Hey Mig:

I miss you. Sorry not to have been around too much lately, but I haven't really been feeling well since we got home, and it's made it hard to find time to come to KA. Ray was correct, we really enjoyed your message at the renewal.

I'm going to attempt going back to work tomorrow, and have rested much longer than usual.

I've been meaning to tell you that I met my new rheumatologist before I left for Canada. She's absolutely wonderful and has referred me to a clinic for Anti-TNF therapy. I'm waiting for the letter inviting me to the clinic, but she expects that I'll meet the criteria. The only problem is with this pesky gall bladder problem (which can become inflammed and infected in cholecystitis) I'm afraid they'll turn me down until I have it out. Oh well. We'll cross that bridge when we come to it.

Thanks again for your usual comforting, reassuring words.

Love,
Jeanna
