If you want to use this QR code (Quick Response code) just save the image and paste it where you want. You can even print it and use it that way. Coffee cups, T-Shirts etc would all be good for the QR code.

1. English, Irish, Scots, German 2. mild to moderate 3. My great aunt had RA and my niece has RA. Other diseases that I have seen listed e.g. Parkinson's Disease (my mother has this) are not auto-immune disorders.
I am not HLAB27 positive. My mother and remaining sister have problems with their backs which is an indication that my own back troubles are more than likely related to an automobile accident when I was 4 years old. I had signs of possible problems by the time I was 11 years old, and more signs by the age of 21. The obvious sign happened to be the problems that I had with my feet, including the swelling of my ankles.

Question #1
What are/were your ancestor's nationalities?
Hungarian, German, Irish
Question #2
How would you rate your AS condition? (slight? - moderate? - bad?)
Has varied over the years, mild to moderate. I am HLA-B27+
Question #3
Do any of your relatives have AS or another autoimmune disease? (including ancestors)
My mother died at age 42 - my sisters said she had alot of neck problems for which she sought treatment, but never officially dx'd with anything. I know very little about her family's health history.
My dad died at age 64 of cancer, but I believe he had AS that was not dx'd. Had very bad spinal problems for many years. His mother & 2 of his sisters also had bad arthritis at earlier ages, never dx'd as anything but just OA though.
My oldest sister has had major neck/upper back/shoulder issues for over 30 years. Her oldest son also has back problems.
My dad had thyroid problems & so have both my sisters.
I have psoriasis, but only under my fingernails & toenails. I also have colitis, IBS & Raynaud's Syndrome.

I noticed that too. I thought I was just German, Polish and Ukranian, but in talking to my mom today, I found out I'm Irish as well. I'm ~55% German, 25% Irish, 10% Polish and Ukranian.
I can't believe how many of us have either German or Irish in us! This is really weird

Great survey...! Question #1 What are/were your ancestor's nationalities? Mexican. Spanish. Aztec Indian [father's side] Native American on my mother's side and Spanish. Question #2 How would you rate your AS condition? (slight? - moderate? - bad? Bad. For the last 4 years it has been non stop in my face pain EXCEPT for a couple months with Remicade..which was a blessing. Question #3 Do any of your relatives have AS or another autoimmune disease? (including ancestors) We believe my maternal great grandfather had AS..he had the classic hunch. My maternal grandmother has RA. My grandfather suffers from non specific colitis as well. My mom has back pain-mild. My oldest /13 yr old daughter has JRA. 2 of my uncles suffer from what I believe is RA or AS...grapefruit sized knees from swelling. One said the doc said it was arthritis but not sure which type. My aunt on my fathers side has what I believe is AS. She is from Mexico city and was told it was an inflammatory arthritis. She suffers from terrible back pain. Hope this helps! -
