If you want to use this QR code (Quick Response code) just save the image and paste it where you want. You can even print it and use it that way. Coffee cups, T-Shirts etc would all be good for the QR code.

This year I have my two kids for trick or treats but I've been in alot of pain lately and the thought of walking them for 2-3hrs Halloween night sends shivers down my spine. This has always been a favourite holiday of mine and I don't want to let my kids down so if anyone knows a spell to take away the pain for one night please let me know. Steve.

Hey Steve, What about taking them to one of the mall's? In our area a lot of the malls have some type of halloween thing, either with trick or treating to individual stores or just games and then a treat bag. We did that a few years ago when I was in considerable pain and it worked quite well. Now my oldest goes with friend and my youngest is 3 yrs old so she only needs to go to a few houses.
Hopefully you'll get some other suggestions. Good Luck, Jill

One year I followed along with my kids in a car as they went door to door. The college here has trick or treating in the dorm for young kids. You might want to check into that as well as the mall.

Thanks for the advice Jill but my two already have the area mapped out. Looks like I might need a GPS to make it back home that night. If I don't log on by 10pm send a search party. Steve.

Yikes, I have to admit, that I am thankful that my kids have easier ideas for me anyways. I think our plan is to meet up with Brittany and her friends and their parents at the school at about 7 for the fireworks, so atleast that gives for a fairly early night that way. I wish you luck and will keep in mind the search party if I don't see you online.

Hmmm...college dorms eh? That could be interesting. Nonetheless, our route has already been mapped out. Gonna need a miracle that night. The idea of driving beside them is out of the question, my vehicle is too slow to keep up to them. Anyone got a magic broomstick I could borrow? Steve.

I dont know whats the age of your kids, but if they are old enough you can do this: 1- rent a wheelchair 2- disguise yourself as a greatly injured person, with bandages all over your limbs and body, add some fake blood to make it even funnier 3- have the kids roll you around When i was a kid we actually did this (dad had a broken leg and wouldnt have allowed us to do the halloween run without an adult escort). Was great fun Carole

Hi Steve,
Im so glad you get your babies for Halloween.
Don't even think about trying to keep up with them, I agree with Drizzit, I have spent many a year just driving along with them, ALOT of people do this that dont have disabilities, it is nice because if it is cold they can hop back in the car when ever they want, we keep a sack to put the candy in so they can keep their other bags light. We usually keep drinks because they get thirsty doing all that walking.
Just make sure they share their stash with you.
Hope you guys have fun,
Lisa

Hey Steve, If heat helps, you could pick up a couple of those portable heat wraps. Also if you don't usually use a cane, now would be a good time to pick up one. Lastly, if you have a very mild pain pill you could take before going out. I don't know about you but it takes a lot before a pill takes my alertness away. I don't want you walking in front of cars or anything like that. Whatever you decide, I hope you have a great time and get into the spirit of things Hugs, Wanda

I wish I had a wheelchair then I would dress as a mummy and go out as the "mummy in the wheelchair". If I'm up for the walk I'll probably stick with my original costume, the Hunchback of Notre Dame. A mask is all I'll need. Steve.
