If you want to use this QR code (Quick Response code) just save the image and paste it where you want. You can even print it and use it that way. Coffee cups, T-Shirts etc would all be good for the QR code.

While I have never really gotten into the NSD or LSD for a very long period of time I guess my body determined a long time ago it would avoid noodles, pasta and rice. When I was young I used to love rice for breakfast or about any other time of the day but as I got into my teens I got to where I could not eat rice. As for noodles and pasta I have never cared for any of them and when I do eat them just to be nice I get an upset stomach. People have always asked why I did not get any of the pasta on my plate and I basically told them I did not like it. It's strange how the body can tell when you should not be eating certain foods without you knowing it.
My ex used to buy only whole wheat bread which took me a long time to aquire a taste for. She preached how it was good for me since my dad had heart problems at a young age. After a few years of eating only wheat bread I got to where I could not shallow it anymore and changed back to plain white bread whenever I ate it. After reading more on the nsd I noticed several foods high in starch that I have never care to eat. So I guess I have been on an LSD for several years and never realized it.

Hey, Brent:
Ebringer's four major poisons are bread, cake, pasta, and potatoes, and I was first concerned that, unless we totally stayed away from all starch, some of us would not find enough relief. I think that there is more a linear relationship, however, and eating fewer starches is still beneficial; nobody needs to go all-or-nothing. I wish the same were true the other way, but once some of us get into remission through diet, there is only a certain amount of 'experimenting' that we are willing to do.
Best to You, John

Hey John,
I have avoided most of those foods for a long time without really trying to be on a diet. I just do not enjoy eating them for some reason. With some of them when I try to eat small portions my stomach will get upset or heartburn will set in leaving me feeling sick and bloated. There are other foods listed I was reading about with high starch levels I also have avoided. It is nice my body seems to know what is good for me and what is not.
Have a good one, Brent

I really don't do bread any longer but have started the McDougall Elimination diet and then I may try the Cave Man Elimination diet as well. Lastly I'll try the No Starch diet unless I try some other allergen diets which include a rotation diet as well.
I just do not know what I have wrong with me, AS, PsA, or something else so it is hard to determine how to eat so i am trying anything. My Rheumy thinks it is AS or Psoriatic Arthritis or both. However, think of the hundreds of Autoimmune diseases that exist - it is endless.
I know people with AS who have had much success on the McDougall siet so I guess it really is indivual to each of us. I started his Elimination diet which consists of only brown rice, brown rice flower, tapioca, certain cooked green and yellow veggies and certain cooked fuits to break down the protein. I am eatinhg a lot of brown rice hot cereal, brown rice pasta and sweet ptotatoes I started this last Thursday and have been feeling better all the time. We'll see.
In do this for about 7-10 days till symptoms subside, then I slowly start to add back in food to find foods causing a reaction.
