Me again,
I have this person PMing me on my personal home address about a product called
" Glyconutricals" from a company called Manatech ( I think). Does anybody know about them? Are they legit? They're supposed to really help AS and whatever else ails you.
Thanks. Laura

I have never heard of this.... But I bet a good way to find out if they are legit is to look at what diseases they claims to "cure". After all, if it claims to help AIDS and AS that would make me suspicious! But if it claimed to help with auto-immune conditions, then I might look into it more as they are all related, and therefore one treatment could theoretically work for many of them!

Hope this helps.. I am sure someone will come along with a better answer!

I live by one rule when it comes to relief for AS. If they find me it is probably not that effective. If I find them I will try it. If you build a better mouse trap the world will beat a path to your door kinda thing.

Laura,

Something I often ask of these people...

"Show me the data from a double-blind, placebo, controlled experimental study"

They usually shut up and leave me alone

Hi Laura,
I was contacted about the glyconutrients too. She gave me a website http://www.mannapages.com, which I'm sure you already have, and has given me alot of info about the products in her e-mails. The company seems legit but I don't know for sure. I've always said I would try anything to get rid of this pain. I guess I can't say that anymore. This stuff is too expensive for me.

Kristin,

I couldn't agree more! I do get sick of seeing people exploiting those in pain with claims for magic bullets. Most of these are as much use as snake oil. I always ask myself, if this treatment is so good, why isn't the medical establishment using it? Simply saying that traditional scientific medicine is in the pay of the drugs companies seems a little paranoid to me. I know many docs are insensitive and uninformed, but believe it or not, they are still trying to make us better!

Kristin,
I highly agree with Daven. If its so good and affecting why isnt it prescribed by our Rhuemies. Its just funk stuff. They are trying to make a buck from us. They know that magic word "relief for pain".........

Beth,
Yep, I checked the web page she sent me, and the testimonials, ect. The products basically come down to the sugars our bodies break everything down to , and I think their idea is to give our cells the proper nutrious sugars?? I never got a price tag from this, and everyone says, " youcan't put a price on your health". That's true, but I don't want to waste any money on something that may or may not work. And if it really worked, why aren't the Dr.s advocating these things?
Thanks for all the replies. I just thot I'd ask here cuz I believe this is a food product, or supplement.
