If you want to use this QR code (Quick Response code) just save the image and paste it where you want. You can even print it and use it that way. Coffee cups, T-Shirts etc would all be good for the QR code.

Sorry if this is a repeat AS, IBD & PsA Not much new - just more proof in the pudding, starch free-ish naturally. I was reading the most recent study by Drs Khan & Elyan re the role of exercise & AS patients and whether its still should be part of our regime. He agrees it should be, just thought you all should know - wonder how much that study cost Hope everyone is well Patrick

Good affirmation though. Hope we see the IL 23 drugs in a AS trial soon. First one is in front of the FDA as we speak awaiting approval for psoriasis
Once it is approved at least we won;t need all the safety studies and can move directly into phase 2 for AS.
I think these may put the TNF drugs out of business and in the psoriasis trial they did not see the infections we see with TNF drugs. Hopefully in under 5 years we can use this stuff. Probably off label way before that but expensive that way

gday Driz, Remember though the TNF's are approved for lots of things & the IL23/12 is a very specific target as well, so we're not likely to see a immediate transfer due to im guessing, simple compatibility. The 'mab' targets certainly do have the jump on the 'cept' type at the moment but I wont be giving up Enbrel (etanercept) without some pretty d*mn strong assurances or ill just stay with it ;. Of course I could always go back to it .. or could I .. *twilight zone music* ... Have a good one mate Patrick .. The filter works on d*amn ? lol ..

Patrick, thanks for posting this.
You know, after 6.5 years of reading these things, they can still make my brain twitch to the point that I'm not certain I'm understanding. Am I correct in thinking there was a difference in IL-23 between folk from Newfoundland and Toronto?
Hugs,
Kat

Drizz, this is very interesting stuff. I, too, am curious to know when/if IL-23 focussed meds will be used in AS patients. Like many of us, I think, I'll be watching this for new developments.
Hugs,
Kat

I would agree. IL 23 will not seem to work for RA but may work for Crohn's, Psoriasis, and AS at this point. All those do use the TNF's though
For new uses I suspect the IL 23 will be the drug of choice but for those on the TNF's who are doing well the decision is not as clear cut.
But who knows for sure. We await the trials
