He was a lovely man and I had been wondering how he was.

'Then you should say what you mean,' the March Hare went on. 'I do,' Alice hastily replied; 'at least - at least I mean what I say - that's the same thing , you know.' 'Not the same thing a bit!' said the Hatter.

Dear Dorrit, this is awfully sad news, I am so very sorry for your loss.

I feared George must have been ill by his unusual absence here, but had no idea he suffered Alzheimer's disease and it just breaks my heart to imagine how difficult that must have been for you both. His kindness touched me and so many people here over the years, George was a huge part of KA and I'd always hoped I would get to meet him one day. By his words we all knew he absolutely adored and treasured you, Dorrit.

I will miss George and will always feel fortunate to have known him.

Thank you for letting us know.

With love and (((hugs))),
Melinda

I think Mig echoes so well, the sentiments of all. I always used to quiz George with trivia questions.....he always seemed to know the answers too. Fond memories of a nice man.

My condolences to you.

Dorrit, I'm so sorry to hear of this. Like many others here, I have been wondering how he is and waiting for him to pop in and say hi out of the blue one day. George has always been one of my favourites here and I've missed seeing him. His wisdom and humour have been a wonderful part of KA. I will treasure the copy of the Teashoe (??) documentary that George sent me all the more.

I know he loved you very much and treasured every moment he had with you. Thank you so much for looking after him so well and lovingly.

George was a good friend to all of us. If you ever need anything, you have a friend in me.

With warmest regards and many hugs,

Kat
