If you want to use this QR code (Quick Response code) just save the image and paste it where you want. You can even print it and use it that way. Coffee cups, T-Shirts etc would all be good for the QR code.

Dear Dorrit
I've only just found this post. I'm so sorry for your loss. I dont post much anymore, but I do still read, and did notice George hadnt been around the place for some time. I remember his posts, and how he supported and cared for everyone, me included.. I' shall certainly miss him here.

Please accept my sympathies. George was so kind and welcoming to me (and I'm sure many others) when I was new here, always ready to help out, and always telling us about his wonderful wife.
May you find peace and comfort in your loss,

So sorry to learn of this news Dorrit: have been away and just read your post. I remember 'OldGeorge's' posts very well indeed. Always kind, helpful and friendly - a stalwart on KA.
Please accept my condolences. Warmest hugs to you me dear.

My reply is quite tardy, I've been uber-occupied with an early music festival the last couple weeks. Incidentally, it is Old George who helped facilitate my first early music festival experience, in fact my first true early music experience of any kind--a field in which I am now earning a doctorate. He and Dorrit were incredibly hospitable, providing airport rides, helping me deal with wheelchair repairs (and the fact that the airline lost my wheelchair altogether), hosting a small dinner to introduce me to other KickASers in the area, letting me hug their cat, and even giving me a place to sleep for a night in their home. My sincere condolences to Dorrit and family on a momentous loss. I'll be waiting for a memorial page... certainly the life of this illustrious AS Kicker warrants one!

Erie, it was so good to see your name appear; although, the circumstances are so sad. I have a copy of a photo of you, Laura and George on my KA wall of fame here at the office and look at all of you smiling together frequently.
Warm hugs,
Kat

Dorrit, It was with a sad heart that I read the news about George! I regret that I was unable to drive North from Seattle and see you afew years back! George was not just a nice guy; as sick as he was, he was a rock, a solid rock giving and sharing ideas that conveyed how we could all live a better life. He was a man that led other leaders! I am much better for having known him as a friend. Lon

For starters, please accept my very late condolences for your loss. I have not been to this site in a few years and just expected to look up a few things, but; I'm in tears after reading the name OldGeorge in the "In Memorium" section. I was fairly active on KickAs back around 2000 or so and George was one of the many people who helped me immensely. We even talked on the phone one time and he sent me the "before and after" photos of his back surgery, which I still have and refer to for my own sanity. I felt a kinship with George because he grew up in Powell River and I grew up in Comox, just across the Straight of Georgia in BC, though some 30 years apart. I still think of you, George and I will miss you. Darren Lavigne, Sudbury, Ontario.
Take Care, Darren

Yes... George was a very special Kicker, I still think about him from time to time.
Popped through the thread a bit to see some of the former Kickers names.
