Hi,
Nice to see you again.
ONly you know when is enough, enough. I have said that several times and then, in a few days seem to get some energy somewhere. AS is hard on everyone. I have fallen with grandkids watching. So I try to sit or be one the floor when they wnat to play....
Take care,

Hi Oak,

I walked away from my house, in March. It was the best decision I could ever make. I couldn't live there by myself, I was called a fire hazzard by the local fire department's chief. I couldn't smell, I didn't understand the firealarm, I was putting myself in harms way. Any place you live is just a house. A home is where your close to family and friends, and your not putting yourself in harms way.

I am looking into getting a hearing ear/service dog. I am slowing getting the paper works together. I am now being seeing at the Hearing Society, this I think will help me.

Service dogs are trained to help you meet your daily needs.

What a hearing dog will do for me.
1. Help me understand the firealarm is going off and to only pay attention to the dog and not the sound of the alarm

2. Let me know that the phone is ringing

3. Let me know someone is at the door

4. Be a companion, to take my mind off the pain

5. Be there when I forget to put my CPAP mask, on and I forget to breath (central Apnea), which has happened in the past. My Kayla girl saved my life that day. (she couldn't come with me into the apartment). Landlords cannot stop a service dog from coming into an apartment.

6. It has been suggested that I should look into hearing/service dog because of my health issues. This dog would be bigger, so that is what I am doing.

Congratulation to the upcoming birth of your first grandson.

Hugs

Hi Oak,

Im sorry you are going thru so much!

I know about the financial hardship, seems to be continual cycle.

I am sure your wife is frustrated by the lack of money, but you can not help it.

Is there any way that your children can help in any way?

Keep us updated.

Hugs,

Lisa

((Oak)) I am so sorry you are having such a hard time. I have been missing talking with you.
I have sat here my limited time for now but I will PM you today.

I will keep you in my prayers. I understand how you feel with the falling, etc. It does get old doesn't it?

Hugs and Blessings.

Gerri, where are you searching for the service dog? I am wanting one myself but haven't known where to go or how to go about it. I know it takes some $$$ but I am ready to do that.

Thinking of you a lot.
Hugs and Blessings.

Gerri, Possi and Oak, you might try Therapy Dogs International, they are a wonderful organization and I know that they have dogs in Canada too. They have donated dogs and if they can't help you directly, they can steer you in the right direction. I'll put their contact info at the bottom. Oak, I hope things work out for you soon, I'll keep you in my prayers. Hang in there!

enough is never enough, after all, the possible alternative may be appealing but is so far unproven.........well, I never yet have met anyone who said 'yes, I'm glad I did it..'

Don't worry about being here, as I said to someone else the other day, get on with enjoying being here................AS and the rest are insignificant, well, treat them as if they are........
