Of course we want to make everyone feel welcome but the fact of the matter is that this is forum is not in "Real Time" like instant messaging, so we post when we find the time. It would be ridiculously redundent and time-consuming to repeatedly the same generic remarks time and time again. If I have the time to do so, I'm more than happy to welcome new people, it gives me an opportunity to meet new people but sometimes I read the responses to a post and find that what I would've said has already been said by someone else, so what's the point? I generally look through the archives before I post a new question, if I can't find what I need, then I post. But if I have to obligate myself to respond to every single post for fear of hurting someone's feelings, I'm sorry but I simply don't have enough spare time to commit to that. Besides, the average amount of responses to all posts here, is about 5-10% of the amount of views, regardless of who posts it.

i aint goin to apologize for i dont think i did anythin wrong....i will read a post and if someone has already writtin what i would have i wont post...if i have somethin to say i will post....when i post i use humor and sarcasm or both i have learned that ya need a sense of humor and need to laugh at what As is doin to ya or ya just go crazy....i post and i dont answer every posted response sometimes i just dont know how to respond or i feel im am inadaquate to respond...sometimes if im feelin down lost and confused i will come here and just read the posts and not respond but i dont feel alone anymore...ive been here for a few years and ive gotten to know a few and im sure in time i will get to know more...sometimes i post in anger or fear and then after a day i realize and ask myself why did i post that..it aint the number of posts that is important its the posts that ya do get that is important i dont care if a hunfred people view the post its the 2-3 that did respond that is important...youve had alot of good helpful apologetic responses they are very helpful...some people are bitter towards others and ya shouldnt listen to just one persons opinion if it werent for the good people here i would be dead by now....i think ive said enough....im confusing myself.....oak

I think you may be misinterpreting it when there aren't many responses to a post.I personally haven't seen anyone respond to a post here and accuse the writer of crying for attention or sympathy. There are many reasons why someone might not respond to a post, as some members before me have pointed out. Time & pain are a major influence of course. Some posts can be overwhelming.I have read many like that in the past and haven't replied to some simply because I couldn't think of anything to say that seemed meaningful or adequate.Chelsea

What she said here^^...I hav been coming here daily
for years, since 01 or 02 and registered in 05.As u can see from my post # that I'm not very active here,a silent viewer.I'm the same in RL.I keep to myself deal with my pain and downs alone.I would have it no other way.I guess I'm mentally strong and really don't want to bother others with my problems.

I hav noticed on a few occasions that when I do mention it,ppl really don't know what to say,and I feel that I hav put them in an uncomfortable situation. So when ppl ask how I am my stock answer is always "couldn't be better".

I always,"always think when i'm in alot of pain" that there's alot of ppl out there thats alot"alot"worse off than me.

This brings me back to earth real fast(i.e.especially Children,my heart really sinks when I hear or see on TV,about
little ones with Cancer,RA,and a hundred different diseases that worse than what I hav."I would gladely give up my life in a nano secend if I could save one of those terminal ill little ones".I suffer with(AS,Crohns,Iritis)Just found out I will be needing another Heart operation in the near future. But things could be worse.

I read all posts and really fell sad for all especially OAK.Poor Chap the suffering that guy goes through.

I am 49,X-military(released because of AS,That really broke my heart in 1983. after 7 yrs in,I come from 3 generations of Military men,I Knew at age 14 I was going to join the Navy)

So I'm quiet and unassuming and not much of a chatter,(posts or RL).

Well now u and every else that never knew me,knows why.I don't post much if anything.Thats the way some ppl are(me).

Respectfully
Anthony,,in Vancouver,,,,,

WOW and again I say WOW...there are many and varied responses to my post! It appears I offended some, and it was not my intention, so I do apologize. I was truly basing my post on what I had observed over the couple weeks since I joined KA...
I thank you all for the support, the advice, the occasional thumps on the head and even the gentle reprimands.
As a new member, I fear I have made a negative and perhaps lasting impression on some...but I understand that it is very human to make assumptions--if not judgements--on our first impressions. Which is what I did in a way. I truly understand that everyone cannot reply to every post and never expected that. I was referring to some very specific situation I observed, and after having my own experience took the time to observe some more before posting this somewhat controversial subject. Believe it or not, my true concern was for others who I observed did not get replies to their posts. Thanks again for all your responses & I hope everyone has a good day.
