Hi AsKickers:

Has anybody noticed any improvements in their condition using glucosamine and chondroitin? The no starch diet helps immensely with my AS but I still get a little (very mildly) sore in the mornings. Since I recently started taking these supplements this residual stiffness seems much less to non-existent some mornings. I guess I could experiment and stop taking the supp's to see if the stiffness returns but maybe somebody here has already tried this.

Please let me know if you have used these supp's and they have/haven't made a difference.

I'd say if it seems to be working just keep at it. It seems that different things work for different people. For me, the NSD did nothing but eliminating the nightshade plants helped about 800%.

...I'm not an expert, just from observation of this website.

G&C only seems to help with achy knees and wrists - non related to AS. G/C/MSM work at the cartilage level, they don't target inflammation.

Glad to hear that you have had so much success with the no starch diet! Are you 100% starch free? How long did it take to kick in? Any initial side effects?
