If you want to use this QR code (Quick Response code) just save the image and paste it where you want. You can even print it and use it that way. Coffee cups, T-Shirts etc would all be good for the QR code.

Hi I have taken Effexor for seven years with good results for nerve pain and depression, however I developed severe hypertension and in the past year the Effexor just doesn't seem to work for me and my depression. I am going to switch to Cymbalta. I would appreciate any thoughts on this new med.

Hi Janet, I'm on Effexor now but was on Cymbalta befo rehand. Cymbalta was not for me, I had problems with sweating and anxiety so I stopped it after a month. Maybe you'll have better luck then I did but I also know two others with the same problems. If you try it I would love to hear how it works for you. Marcie

Hey Janet,
I was on Effexor for several years and switched to Cymbalta about five months ago. I feel so much better and I can tell it helps better with the pain. I haven't noticed any side effects, seems to work for me. Best of Luck, Dana

HI Marcie, I sweat like a pig with Effexor until the [ast year. The anxiety also was a problem at higher dosages. How are you doing on the Effexor?

Hi Dana, How did you go about switching. I am scared to death . I am on 267.5 Effexor at the moment . He has ordered me to start with Cymbalta 30 mg and decrease Efexor to 187.5 for a week and then keep decreasing

Janet, I'm always hot and have been since I was little but the Cymbalta seemed to really make me sweat. My mom and a friend were both on it for a couple of months and they could not handle the sweating ahead. I've been sweating now because of pain medication i'm taking, I don't think the Effexor makes me sweat at all. Right now I take 225 mg of Effexor, I can't remember how much I was taking of Cymbalta. I hope this helps let me know what you decide. Marcie

Janet, My Rhuemy suggested I switch, and I was also scared, I think back and I know now that the Humira made me so depressed. I take 60 and doing great, I know how you feel about making a switch. I didn't tapper down, I just switched to 30 then moved up to 60 after a month. Wish you the best whatever you decide to do. Dana

Hi Dana How much Effexor were you taking when you did the switch to Effexor. I have started teh Cymbalta today plus 150mg of the Effexor still ,which is half of the 300mg I was taking last week .

Hey Janet, I was taking 300 mg. How are you doing? I hope it works for you, as it has for me. Dana

Hi Dana It is going well so far. I am down to 75mg of Effexor and just yesterday started the 60 mg of Cymbalta. I feel much calmer on it then I did the high doe of Effexor and Iam actually able to lay down and have a bap in the daytime. It is also workign well for the Neuropathic pain, as did the Effexor. I pray that this is my answer, after being on Effexor forseven years it makes some lodgic that it just stopped working. Janet
