Wondering if anyone had had any success with probiotics in addition to NSD? Which brands? Have seen some such as Culturelle and VSL3. Thanks,

I can't keep bacteria in balance without them. I was taking Healthy Trinity by Natren. They seem to be the most pure and of high quality, but at $50 for a 10 day supply (I required 3 per day, not the recommended 1), I switched to making my own wild fermented sauerkraut now, and it works even better:

You can search this forum for previous discussions of the sauerkraut too.

Hi there,

I 2nd Jeanne“s comments. I used Natren“s Healthy Trinity from 2004 until 2007 some time and found it to be only probiotic I found to help and I could tolerate. However, with moving to Argentina I could no longer purchase and began making own sauerkraut which I have found to be much better.

make your own lacto-fermented foods... they have MORE viable probiotics & enzymes and are symbiotic.... AND are much cheaper!
