Sabriye Tenberken: here's another woman who is blind who rocks. And she is real. She helped children in Tibet who were blind get education. Her memoir, My Path Leads to Tibet is truly inspiring. She had such compassion for the children who were ostracized. She just did not give up in her quest to create schools for these children. Sabriye inspires me!

I've got a chihuahua and her big spirit and loving heart move me to tears, especially when I know what her first few years of life were like, before I got her. She has a heart murmur, and when I stroke her fur I can feel her heart's samba-like rhythm and am reminded how strong we are, how vulnerable we are, and how were are all here, somehow--together. Jan

Hmm... what inspires me besides the lovely clowns on KA?
My nieces who are tiny but are amazing forest fire fighters. I'm inspired by their fierce determination to succeed. Not surprisingly, two were high school wrestling champions for several years.
Other people who I have met, who have RA, and have managed to continue living to the full, conquering or taming the beast so they could.
There's lots more but I keep falling asleep at the computer so I'd better go to bed...
