Hi Michelle,

Lots of love and hugs to you. Whatever choice you make, whether to go in to the hospital or not, will be the right choice.

There's nothing I can say to take this pain away from you. I just hope that it's as easy on your Mom as possible and that you feel supported by your family (including KA).

Oh my gosh Michelle, just know that you are loved and cherished! Your mother on this earth or in heaven is an angel of God and will be taken care of! You just do what you need to do and whatever you choose, it will be the right thing for you. XOXOXOXOXOXOXOXOXOXO

(((Michelle))) Brad is so right. I have thought about you and her all day today. Jer. 29:11 God has plans for us.

I have a good friend who was in ICU in a coma for 3 months with Sepsis, etc. after heart surgery. His wife, an RN, said she just knew this was the hospitalization that he wouldn't go home from. (He has Lupus, RA, AS, all of the stuff we have and has had knee and hip replacements done and done over, has lost all of his toes from infection, fell 3 months ago and broke his leg, pelvis and shoulder. His leg has not even begun to heal yet and he is still with us) Not only did he go home after that serious time but he has been back in the hospital for some of these other surgeries since then. He is in Rehab right now. Just sharing that we can go through some terrible things and if it is not God's plan for us, we are still going to be here.

Hugs, sweet friend. I wish I could be there with you. This is such a hard time for you. It is just a decision that you have to make yourself and it is so hard. I was in bed sick when my grandmother (whom I loved for that anyone I think) died and the dr. told me that I could not be up much less make the trip. I didn't go and it is still hard. Then I think about catching the nasty bug that I did when my dad was dying and we weren't sure I was going to make it. Tough tough call. I just know that your Mom would want you to take care of yourself. If I were in her place right now, I would tell my daughters that they have children to raise themselves and that I want them there to do it.

Sweetie, I just pray for your peace and that God will help you in this struggle.

I hope you rest tonight.

Blessings.

So sorry Michelle

Wouldn't want to say "I know how you feel" because each of us has our own unique relationships with our family members

I lost both my parents within a few months of each other, and the feelings with each of them were completely different. It happened when I was in my early 40's, so there was very little emotional preparation for it

My father had pancreatic cancer, so we at least had some time to say goodbye, but my mother was a complete and total surprise

Marsha's mother is 85, and is getting her gallbladder removed on Thursday, so we are trying to adjust to where things could be going from here

Like Wendy said, whatever choice you are able to make will be the right one, if you can make it to see her, without risking your own health, that would likely help give you comfort, but if things aren't going that way, those are signs you should heed, too

I hope you are able to spend time with your mother. We all have this headed our way one way or another. You are in our prayers.
Darrel.
