If you want to use this QR code (Quick Response code) just save the image and paste it where you want. You can even print it and use it that way. Coffee cups, T-Shirts etc would all be good for the QR code.

I am a bi-weekly 40 mg humira pen patient for the last 6 months without any real side effects worth mentioning, and all the benefits of the Humira. On Wednesday, I got a headache (a day after my injection). I still have that headache. I have tried all sorts of over the counter drugs, sinus cleanse, vicodin. Nothing has touched it. Today is day 4 and I made a trip to urgent care. She is convinced it is the Humira. They gave me a shot of something to help get rid of the headache, it didn't TOUCH it. Can I get any relief from this? I have a call into the rhuemy, but he won't be able to see me until Monday. Meanwhile, I am ready to put my head through a wall

Hi. Not a problem I have come accross Ive been on Humira 5 months now . I have heard it can affect your sinusis and would think that could be the problem you could try an inhaler to decongest your nasal passages that might help. Another thing I know it sounds potty but pinch in the joint between your index finger and thumb very hard so it hurts and hold it for as long as you can if its a headache it should relive it. Kevin

I have experienced the same thing with Humira, I had a headache for a week with no relief. I would put ice water over my head. It sounds crazy but it worked....for awhile.

I am so sorry to hear about your headache...that really blows. I take Humira too, but have not had the bad headache with it. I do get migraines from time to time but I previously had not associated it with Humira. Try calling Humira...they have a really great support system and you will be able to talk to an RN who is well educated on this particular medication. I hope you feel better!

What a total bummer! This sounds awful. Humira has been fabulous so far for me (3 months) and the only issue is a sore throat for about 2 days now and ISR. I had my shot 4 days ago.

Surprisingly, Humira hasn't caused me any increase in headaches, but Enbrel sure did.
I have a history of migraines though, so I don't know if the components of Enbrel is what triggered the increase because that's what the headaches on Enbrel felt like, dull migraines.
I was definitely pleased to find I didn't have that same problem when I switched to Humira.

I thought I would update. Turns out I was having bad tension headaches. Went to some PT sessions that really helped. Not humira related at all!

Hey there, thanks for the update.
I've noticed a return of migraines that I haven't seen since I was a kid. In fact, I didn't even consider them migraines since my memories of how bad they were seem to have gained power of the years. In the context of what I'm going through, it wouldn't surprise me that my assessment of how horrid a migraine is now would be quite different than how I saw them as an otherwise healthy kid.
When I looked at the situation objectively, it was pretty clear. I just assumed it was somehow related to my meds or my disease in some way. If I'm not mistaken, it was while I was on Humira that my headaches returned?
I'm really glad to hear that your PT sessions helped.
Chris
