If you want to use this QR code (Quick Response code) just save the image and paste it where you want. You can even print it and use it that way. Coffee cups, T-Shirts etc would all be good for the QR code.

I was arrogant and I do apologise!I came on this forum to brag that I have the AS in my body under control.I have found what worked for me.I wish I could help everyone and I really feel for everyone in pain.I realise that success stories are difficult to believe and not easily accepted.I will pray for everyone on this forum.Sorry again for saying things here that people don't want to hear.I still don't use any med. or pain relief - and I thank God for it. All the people on this forum are on my mind. Good luck! Will Mostert (Ronel's brother)

Very thoughtful of you to apologize. I have been busy this week and just found the other post last night and was kind of surprised by it all. I am glad I took time to think it over. I can honestly say that there are some amazing people hear. It is great that so many opinions can be shared and expressed on this forum. I think that is what makes it so unique. It is up to each of us to take away what might best help ourselves. It would be very sad indeed if we could not celebrate or share our own and others success stoties whether it be a good day, remission or an improved quality of life. I also think it is equaly important that people are allowed to vent and share and in doing so lighten their load. I honestly do not believe it was your intent to hurt anyone and am greatful that upon doing so you have made amends. Life is to short. I think that many people come and go from here looking for answers, support and a safe place to vent because they have found others with similar issues. I myself say things here that I keep from my family and my day to day life.

Hi
For a year and a half I too was thankful that I did not have the Classic Symptons of AS even though My Rhummy insisted that I had AS... I got on AS Kickers and was telling everyone that would listen that my AS was under control as I had No flares, Ate what I wanted to, Woke up in the morning without stiffness and had no trouble with my gut like others had, I was so thankful and still my heart went out to my fellow AS Kickers that were suffering.... For the last year and a half I thought that I had AS only to find(after going to another Rhummy) that I have Osteoarthritis and Fibro. Does this mean that my heart does not go out to my Kick AS friends... Hell No.... I was a Kickas Member for a year and a half and I found a second home here.... Please remember that as bad as we may feel at any given time that there are others who are suffering more than we are God Bless you all!!!

Hi Will,
Good to see you back. I tried to be as rational as I could be in my replies, but if I appeared more than that, I apologize too. Now that I look back at my posts, it doesn't seem as if I tried hard enough.
Take care, James

If there's one thing people should remember about any disease is that we are all wired differently and react differently to medication, to exercise, to diet, to heat, to cold etc.... For an example, just look at warning labels on medications - "Might cause this, might have that reaction and on and on." For me, success stories are not hard to believe but to apply that success to everyone is a different kettle of fish. Good luck to you and stay healthy.
Timo

After reading this post, I went to the original.
Control. If anyone for a second thinks they are in control of their life or any aspect of it, they are sorely mistaken. We have the ability to slightly manipulate the ebb and flow of life but thats it.
All the great and terrible things happen to every living being on this planet. Period.
IMO we need to surrender all to the very real God. Even if AS flare happens to me again sometime in my life- OH WELL! I'm still going to be a funny, happy, grateful and thankful oh and most important of all HUMBLE human being!
One of the most important men in history- Abraham when talking to God said "I am nothing but dust and ashes"-humble.
King David (of David and Goliath)considered himself a worthless servant to God. God made everything happen for David only because David had the propensity to be there.
IMO the secret is a selfish and inconsiderate belief. The latest marketer of this philosophy even summed it up by saying "it is the art of selfishly devouring life". It offers nothing about life reconciliation and what comes after life. Even if it works- I don't care, Id rather spend the rest of my life GIVING to he who needs it- even if God puts me in pain.
Right now I feel amazing. When I was the happiest and most positive and care free I had been in 30 years, I was at my absolute worst with this disease. My "thoughts" were nothing but absolutely positive. I didn't even know what I had! But I was worse with "AS" than I had ever been. (Don't even want to get into the details)
To sum it up, control- there is no such thing as control for a human. I have no pain right now. Stay humble and God will reward you with all the things you ever needed. Pain is nothing but a learning experience. I'd rather give to whose who need it with the rest of my life than avoid pain.

Hi
It's good that you apologize! That was a hurtful post!I am sure you didn't mean it since you came on here again. Thanks
Success stories are certainly not hard to believe,it was through those that I got the guts to change my whole life through diet!I think people might have a harder time believing a success that insults them! Also, I pray all the time,God just helped me in a different way, through diet and support on here!
Good luck and glad you feel better!
