Oh sweet sis..
I am so sorry that all of you are going through these hard times right now. I have been praying for you and will ramp it up. Ethan is precious. He will win the hearts of those nurses over immediately and will be well taken care of. We love your sweet family. I just don't know how to tell you all of my thoughts and concerns. I have been thinking about Bill also. I know the job situation falls way to the back with Ethan's problem. Just tough right now. Just remember to hold on to Jer. 29:11.

heart Love you all.

Hi All,

Well we just got back from the hospital getting Ethan pre-admitted and talking to the anathesiologist and the insurance so hopefully we will have everything squared away. We are just waiting on the Drs. office to call us with the actual time that we have to be there.

Ethan had a horrible experience with his last surgery and they used the drug called KETAMINE. If anyone here is having surgery especially a child please do not let them give this drug to them. They have other sedation drugs to choose from. All they told us this last time was this drug will either make him feel like he is in heaven or make him feel like he is in hell...I will give you 1 guess. It was horrible when he woke u and was trying to come out of the sedation he thought people were trying to kill him, he thought the Drs. had cut off different body parts, he was screaming trying to get out of the bed. I finally screamed at them to give him a sedative so they gave him Ativan then I griped at them about why they would let a child go that far and the parent have to ask for something to calm him down. Needless to say I am very nervous, Bill and I are not showing it for Ethan but he is starting to get nervous now.

The anathesiologist told us that if he is really nervous or upset they will give him a sedative in liquid form to calm him down (I think he will be fine) then they will put the mask on him and then as he is drifting off they will put the longer acting sedation in his IV.

I will just be glad when this is over..the recovery time is suppose to be about 8 weeks but I am more concerned with him going under than I am anything else.

Thank you everyone who is keeping us in your thoughts and prayers, it means so much. So much has been going on lately and I just have that please dont put one more thing on my plate thinking.

Hoping once this is all over I will feel more like sitting down and writing all that is going on. Of course with all of this going on I haven't been able to have a treatment (remicade) since december so I am a complete mess..have been popping the oxy's but once Ethan has his surgery and probly at least 1 to 2 weeks after surgery I will be able to have a treatment.

Our oldest Tiffany is finally telling people she is pregnant and we have seen a picture of the newest little angel..yea! she is right at about 13 weeks due date is August 18th..funny thing is my Dad's the baby's Great Granpa's birthday is August 5th and the baby's Daddy's birthday is August 30th so anytime in there is great. As long as she doesn't have the baby 6 weeks early again. On time and healthy.

Hugs,

Lisa
