If you want to use this QR code (Quick Response code) just save the image and paste it where you want. You can even print it and use it that way. Coffee cups, T-Shirts etc would all be good for the QR code.

Hi Everyone, I want to try an Omega fatty acid again, now that I have finally run out of Vitamin D3. I had a stockpile of the stuff lol. Anyways, I tried a product that contained all three Omega's 3, 6, and 9 a few years ago, but I have been reading here that one Omega is especially good for us with AS. Can someone help me remember by saying which one that was? I forgot. thanks, take care, James

HLA-B27+, JRA diagnosis in 1981, re-diagnosed as AS in 1988. Also iritis, colitis, and psoriasis. NSD + low carb helps me. My health makes it hard for me to post in a timely way.

Hi Kevin, I have a hunch it is Omega 3, because it is mainly based on fish oils, but I would like to know for certain before I place an order for it. I'm reading these links now... it looks interesting, but so far I haven't see a mention of arthritis. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Omega-3_fatty_acidhttp://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Omega-6_fatty_acidhttp://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Omega-9_fatty_acidWe'll find it Take care, James

There is strong scientific evidence that n-3 fatty acids reduce blood triglyceride levels[8][9][10][11] and regular intake reduces the risk of secondary and primary heart attack.[12][13][14][15]
Some benefits have been reported in conditions such as rheumatoid arthritis[16][17] and cardiac arrhythmias.[18][19][20] Research in 2005 and 2006 has suggested that the in-vitro anti-inflammatory activity of n-3 acids translates into clinical benefits. Cohorts of neck pain patients and of rheumatoid arthritis sufferers have demonstrated benefits comparable to those receiving standard NSAIDs.[citation needed] Those who follow a Mediterranean-style diet tend to have less heart disease, higher HDL ("good") cholesterol levels[60] and higher proportions of n-3 in tissue highly unsaturated fatty acids.[61] http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Omega-3_fatty_acidThis was the info I was looking for. More suggestions are welcome too. Take care, James

Hey Guys - Omega 3 is the one you want - reduces inflammation and look for a product with as much EPA/DHA as you can find and afford - that's the stuff in the fish oil that really helps with arthritis (per thread in tips forum)
I saw an ad recently for a prescription product to help with cholesterol, main ingredient - Fish Oil! but its prescription only - i bet its a high dose cuz one of the side effects was a metallic taste, and others on here complained of that when they took more than the recommended dose. i thought it was pretty interesting. My dad has heart disease and per doctors orders he's been taking Omega 3's for almost 10 years - before all the hoopla, and then when I was pregnant with 3rd child 5 years ago the doc gave me a DHA supplement - once again the omega 3's. So it appears "3 is the magic number".

Thanks Mcm.
I'm going to try Omega 3 for the first time (first time by itself I mean).
Take care, James
