I see now that maybe I should have introduced myself first and I am sorry for not having done that first, it has been a bad couple of weeks. My name is Krista and I found out last week I have AS. I am a wife and mother of three VERY active 16, 12, and 10 yr old. Girl being the oldest and two boys right behind. Two of them are involved in all sports...I spend a lot of time on bleachers cheering and yelling! ;-) My husband is wonderful but in a bit of denial over this whole thing. I have been having issues since at least 2007 and had no idea what AS even was until I was tested (see my other post). I'm glad to have found this site and I am sorry if I sounded grumpy earlier...I'm just not myself lately and I am tired of it. Thank you for the warm welcome.

welcome again! don't remember you sounding "grumpy" earlier, though even if we are sometimes, i think everyone understands, its good to have this place to vent when needed. sometimes more important to have a place to be silly and forget about it all!

Hi Krista!
(and hi Sue and Craig!!!)

I read your other post, and believe me, you have a lot of practicing to do if you expect us to be impressed with that level of grump. The apology is appreciated only as a polite gesture, but not necessary.
Welcome to the site!

Krista, we've all be there and know what it is to grump. Trust me, CC is right, you have a long way to go before you are the Queen of Grump. smile

Hi Krista,

I must have missed your other post. I just read it. It didn't sound grumpy to me at all.

In fact, I like the part where you said:
Quote:
"We really didn't know what was going on at the time, I went back to the doc (ortho) two weeks later with STILL the same pain (SIJ) and said very bluntly....I appreciate you filling my tires with air and changing the oil...but the dam check engine light is still on."

That was great! I want to use that line on my rheumy.... (he needs to woken up every now and then lol)

There will be times where your AS gets better, then sometimes worse, then sometimes better, etc. It's not always going to be in full force like it is now. Once you get started on the right treatment, you'll start seeing plenty more of those better times. yes

Take care,
James

Wait a minute, I have to butt in here and stick up for my brother ASKicker to say that Alan is not the Queen of anything.

And, Krista, everyone is right, and you are really nice when compared to the biggest (to be ummmm...un-named) Grump. Right Kevin? laugh2
