Hi all

Has anyone tried acupuncture as an alternative to anti-inflammatories? I'd be very interested in your experiences -good or bad.

Thanks in anticipation

Stephen

Hi Stephen!
I too have been wondering about acupuncture as an alternative. I think some people have tried it, and perhaps still are, but I'm not sure. Have you checked out a professional yet?? I believe it's like anything else, what works for one doesn't necessarily work for another. If you don't get the info you ( and I ) want from posting here, maybe try in the general forum.
Thanks for asking, Laura

Hi Stephen
I have tried this but the therapist and I did not see any changes after 3 or 4 weeks of the therapy. There are supposed to be different types of this therapy. With the more aggresive type, they use thicker needles. I was not impressed and could certainly feel the "little jabs" like they were knitting needles! It causes a very strange sensation through your nervous system.
I was having some traction and other physio therapy at the same time so cannot "PIN POINT" (HA!), any physical changes as a direct result. Many people swear that this therapy has healing power so I say give it a try. Let us know if this works for you.

Kelly
