If you want to use this QR code (Quick Response code) just save the image and paste it where you want. You can even print it and use it that way. Coffee cups, T-Shirts etc would all be good for the QR code.

Could anyone PM Seb for me with a link to this post - I don't know how to do it?
This is exactly what my friend Seb needs, to show his doctor - who is trying to get him off the diet (even though it is working for him) because he thinks it is damaging for him.
Thanks so much!

no hair splitting involved - big difference in the 2 diets. LSD & NSD are not the same - thats why one has the word "low" at the start of it and the other has the word "no". low & no doesnt = same - they have a distinctive difference in meaning.

Yes LSD is different from NSD but at the end of the day they are both diets and both connected and to have one recognized by a drug company is a good thing which ever one it is.Cant you just be happy that its getting out there and recognized instead of picking holes.

Good luck with the injection Roogy!! My rheumy actually pretended not to know about us. I have mentioned the site on three different visits as wonderful support because I figured she knows more people who need it and would want to help them find support. Every time she acted like she never knew... (or, as I also believe, she's a crappy listener). Finally one visit she got less careful and said the interwebs is full of crackpots and she prefers her patients get their info from a more reliable source, her. Did I mention she's my ex rheumy?

Darryn:
Let's see: I am an administrator at KA who has been a member for almost 9 years. Therefore, I am certain that you are aware that I fully and completely understand the technical (and yes, in this context, hair-splitting) difference between the low-starch and no-starch diets. Because that fact has to be true, then I must also conclude that you also realize that you are using an incredibly condescending tone in your most recent reply that is both unnecessary and non-conducive to any kind of civil discussion. In addition, I assure you it is not appreciated, not even a little.
It is beyond time that you stopped talking to other members as if they were little children existing on a plane of understanding far below your own--such behavior is uncalled for and not in keeping with the spirit of the Rights and Responsibilities. These forums are filled with intelligent, thoughtful individuals, who, in this instance, are participating in this thread so they can share in celebrating this important breakthrough. Please, just let them (us) have this moment. Is that so hard to do? While negative attitudes of any type are not particularly appreciated here at KA, your off-putting attitude is especially inappropriate given the nature of this thread. In fact, if you had even an inkling of how long we've been waiting for this kind of concrete recognition from the mainstream medical establishment, you'd realize just how out of place your behavior is right now.
Above and beyond the tone you used, it certainly seems from what you wrote in your response that either you didn't read my post at all, or you simply skimmed it. I say that with confidence because had you read it, you would know that my main point was that whether the materials mentioned the low-starch or no-starch version of the diets, the important thing was that they mentioned either one of them at all because no matter which version people look up, they are sure to be led straight to the more effective no-starch version. Therefore, the goal you desire would be achieved every single time anyhow.
Brad

That's very true, Kevin, the two of you just can't help yourselves. Scientists have spent billions of dollars and several decades trying to isolate the crackpot gene, but so far, they've failed miserably. They work in outdated labs with very little money for their research (after all, getting folks to donate to "Help Wipe out Crackpots in Our Lifetime" just isn't easy), but still they labor on, hoping against hope that one day they'll be able to live in a world that is free from crackpots and the havoc they can create in almost any environment. I know it must be hard at times, but please, you and Alan just have to keep the faith and pray that one day a cure will be found. If not in your lifetime, than in your children's--let's make this the last crackpot generation. (Soooo, think maybe I've been awake too many hours in a row? ) Brad
