I went to my GP last week for what seems like my weekly visits. We got thru with all the other stuff and then I asked about my feet. I told him the last foot cream didn't work. He sent me to a dermatologist.

Went to the appointment and one test later I was given the Dx of FOOT FUNGUS...Can you believe it? Isn't that disgusting. I have little mushrooms that can be harvested right off my feet.DISGUSTING. They took a picture of my feet, probably "before and after" pictures for his waiting room.

It has been a couple of days with the new prescription lotion, Tenactin and tree tree oil and my feet look better, They will never win any beauty contests but that is alright by me.

I saw a new Simponi ad ad and they mentioned a higher risk of foot fungus. Simponi is one of the TNF blockers out there. The ad said to tell your doctor right away if you get foot fungus. I am on Remicade and got foot fungus...I wonder if there is any correlation.

I hope I am able to get rid of this mushroom farm on my feet.

At least the mushroom farm hasn't wrecked your awesome sense of humour.

I've seen that Simponi commercial too, and I keep talking about it, as an example of how effective advertising can be, despite the narrator listing all the potential side effects

but every time I do a web search for it, hoping to find it on YouTube...

mostly I just find people talking about how they love the red shoes bought by the woman in it, often followed by questions of "where can I buy those red shoes!!"

Sue

I hope the medication can clear this up. I am ready to do battle with fierce determination. It will be a hard and possibly long fight.

I might have to come here for support from time to time.

Hello Jeffery
I think you should buy a pair of those Red shoes, Dow, is talking about! We all know what powers Ruby slippers have, don't we? Maybe you could try clicking your heels together and repeat the words "fungas this is no place for your home" three times! Better make sure you have reservations in Kansas, just incase this little experiment backfires though!!
Hope your new cream does the trick.
The human body is an amazing thing, but it doesn't half malfunction a lot!!
Take care, you make me chuckle!! Have to keep a sense of humour!

sTink,

I certainly DO NOT want ruby slippers that have been on Dow's feet...who knows what foot infections one would come up with putting on those shoes. Knowing Dow he probably names the critters he has lurking on his feet. I do not wish to end up in Kansas so I will keep my fungus infected heels from touching each other.

I did do some research on fungus. It seems that those with a low or suppressed immune system are more inclined to get foot fungus. I am in that category.

I hope none of you will have to go through what I've gone through fighting this terrible malady.

Please take care of your feet.
