Hi Friends,

So, i avoided the enevitable and have survived my first car accident. I am ok, meaning I still have all the limbs I started with, and no scratches, bruises, or eliments. My car on the other hand is very sad. Lots of bumper damage, in the back, my front drivers side door mirror is off, and so is the handle. I definitally blacked out for a moment because after I hit the gravel, overcorrected and lost control I have no idea what happened until I up in the median. It was a four lane highway, no other cars invovled. I was so scared! The police happened to be right behind me. I went to the Chiro yesterday and he checked my over, just really tight muscles from tensing up. Nothing too major, just freak'n sore. My car is at the body shop, insurance is looking after that.
I go today to find out the damange reports and estimates.

so sorry to hear that, but so glad you are ok!

only in one accident, we were rear-ended, someone hydroplaned into us right after it started raining, so no one's fault. everyone was ok, thank goodness for seatbelts! but it really shook us all up. i remember jumping every time i heard a loud noise for months afterward. being in a car was also hard for quite a while after that. but it got easier with time. fortunately for me, it wasn't my car, then it would have been even harder to get over.

but again, so glad you weren't hurt yes
even if your car was no

Jeepers creepers, Sammee, we leave you alone for a few minutes....

I'm glad you're all right. Were you on Hwy. 11? Lucky for you the police were right there to help. It's very frightening that you blacked out. Was that what caused the accident? If so, that's even more concerning!!!

Cars can be fixed, you on the other hand, are a great deal more precious. I'm glad you're all right. Be extra gentle with yourself over the next while, OK? Sometimes it can take a couple of days for things to surface.

I was rear-ended a couple of years ago. You know how you're not supposed to proceed into an intersection on a green light if you can't clear the intersection completely? Well, I stopped and the woman behind me didn't. I'd been stopped for several moments, so it wasn't like I stopped suddenly. She just wasn't paying attention. At first it didn't seem much was wrong beyond frazzled nerves, but I had felt three distinct areas of my spine hit the seat, so I made an appointment to get checked out (chiro and GP). Other than some strains my back was OK. It was my breaking foot that suffered most. I guess I'd really jammed it down hard!!

The upshot is that it took a few days before I felt the total effect on my body. So, just be kind to yourself, please??

I'm really glad you're OK. hugss

Warm hugs,

Kat

Hey Sam, glad you're okay. So a few days later, how are you? It usually takes a couple days to feel the impact.

Sam,

So glad to hear that you were not hurt worse, just be careful whiplash and soft tissue damage can show up days after and those can be very big issues.

Hugs,

Lisa

Hi, Thanks for checking in. I feel like hell. My back is so inflammed. Not normal area. This is more upper back. My chiro is looking after my daily! he is the best thing since sliced bread with his electric machine, actupuncure needles and cracking hands! So far my insurance company has been very good to deal with... Lets keep that coming baby..... KNOCK ON WOOD.

Thanks Sue 22. You are always so kind with your words. Right now i am so mad at myself for doing something so stupid= even if i wasn't my fault- which it wasn't. I had some ladies over yesterday, and it felt good doing something!
