If you want to use this QR code (Quick Response code) just save the image and paste it where you want. You can even print it and use it that way. Coffee cups, T-Shirts etc would all be good for the QR code.

Hi everyone,
First off, thank you all for your wonderful support after my other post. While I wasn't able to respond last night, I did read all of them while I was in the hospital and they definitely lifted my spirits.
I'll fill in the details later, but for now just wanted to let everyone know that I am home much earlier than expected. The internal medicine doctor thought that as long as I could do self-injections of Lovenox (a form of the blood thinner heparin) at home, I didn't need to stay in the hospital hooked to the heparin IV. While of course I am ecstatic to home and getting ready to sleep in my own bed tonight, I do have to say that I was less than impressed with some of the things that happened last night and today and wonder if they did the right thing sending me home this early. I don't feel I'm at risk or anything, but just a few oddities that made me go "hmmmm."
That said, it is VERY nice sitting here in my recliner trying to finish typing this as my jumbo kitty sits by my side, my right arm draped over him even as I type. The cat and my dog were both VERY happy to have me at home, and I was happy to see them.
Thanks again everyone.
Brad

Hiya Brad, Glad to hear it was a flying visit, and awaiting the missive on the idiosyncrasies and inadequacies of the public health system ... That said, it is VERY nice sitting here in my recliner trying to finish typing this as my jumbo kitty sits by my side, my right arm draped over him even as I type. The cat and my dog were both VERY happy to have me at home, and I was happy to see him.
Thanks again everyone. Ok,...so how does *that* work?!?!? Right now (as I type) I have the jumbo kitty draped over my keyboard and right arm - makes for a tricky time with the typing speed and lack of typos... Is there a secret to getting the beast to sit *beside* you, instead of *on* or *in front of* you??? <desperate for an answer to the whole kitty/screen & keyboard access paradigm>

Hi Louise,
Well, if you have a jumbo kitty of your own, then you know what the secret is already! The secret, of course, is that the cat is the ruler of the universe and sits where he wants, when he wants (equally applicable if your kitty is a she!). I certainly haven't been able to make the cat lay there quietly beside me; in fact, it's a very recent choice for him, as he used to simply walk in front of my laptop and plop himself down on my chest, face inches away from mine. You actually have to respect such complete disdain for what his/her human is attempting to do at any given time.
Also, I am totally familiar with the "trying to type while a huge cat is draped over your arm" handicap! Pretty much every time I am in my computer room and at my desk using my main computer, the cat jumps up on the desk's wing and lays down right below where my hand is controlling the mouse. From there, he always inches forward until the front half of his body is draped completely over my right arm, making it a real chore to control the mouse, let alone type!
Brad

Glad you are home and that the animals welcomed you back into their world. I, too, would be interested in the things that made you go 'hmmmm'. Till then, get well.

One of our cats used to lie on my husband's chest like that with her face just inches from his. But she would stretch out one poor and rest a claw on his throat! We were sure she was threatening to sever his jugular if he moved an inch. She purred really loudly all the while.
