mary cay, that's all very interesting,
i started progesterone (bioidentical topical creme) but that hasn't really done much for me that i can tell.
the endocrinologist and i have talked about maybe adding in estrogen (looks like maybe i've finally hit menopause).
your comments make that idea even stronger in my mind.
can you link any of the stuff you read regarding the estrogen?
i'll see what i can dig up as well by googling and searching pubmed, but anything you have would be great to read.

thanks,

but reading kat's comments a little further on, a reminder why i've been weighing the decision of estrogen so carefully.......still, for me, it might be worth trying. if it doesn't seem to help, i can always stop it. as for all the other controversy of hormone therapy, it makes my head swim.

adrenal glands? i had mine tested by collecting urine for 24 hours and it was fine that way. but my doc wants me to have a slightly different test done, she gave me a kit to collect saliva at various times during the day and see what my levels of (cortisone?) are at different times. but since the first test was good, have a feeling my adrenals are fine. still trying to understand how it all might fit together.......but every "endocrine" thing we tweak seems to do nothing for me, nothing i can detect anyway (thyroid hormone, progesterone, vitamin D).

Hi Sunnypower,

Sorry that I wasn't here earlier (and before half of the men on the planet arrived in your thread laugh2 ). It's probably not a good idea to move it at this stage, otherwise it will appear as though the men have invaded the ladies forum! You now have access to the WF and will find it on the Forum List. And yes, it's a private forum within KA.

Like most females, my AS symptoms have always gotten much worse around that time of the month. Never fails. My rheumy told me years ago that this was a fairly common complaint with female ASers. Not much we can do but live with it.

cheers,
mig

Alan! Now why was I not surprised to see you as the first male posting in this thread?! laugh2 Clot. And soon followed by all the usual suspects.. you men are such a silly bunch.

Easy peasy, the cream cake with strawberries first. Yum. But only half of one for you!
