I haven't been feeling good for a little over a week. The issues started out mild and then by last Thursday I was really not feeling good at all.

I have been on Apriso since 12/2008 for ulcerative colitis and Humira since last May. Several months ago when I saw my GI I asked if I needed to continue Apriso. He said let's continue Apriso for one month. I did and ran out of it several weeks ago.

About a week after stopping the Apriso I started getting gas pains at first. Then pelvic area pains started. My first thought was, "OH NO! I've seen the end of the Humira benefits." I had totally forgotten about the discontinued Apriso. Then I started getting a mild temperature, which was something I had before starting Apriso. So, I called the GI's office to get approval for more Apriso. The GI is in the hospital...he isn't supposed to get sick!

So, I have to wait until next week to fill the Apriso prescription. I hope so much that is the cause.

Good grief, I hope you can get the Apriso again soon. Hmmm. Odd that your GP didn't arrange for someone to look after his practice while he was in hospital. Hopefully, he's out soon.

Hugs,

Kat

I got the Apriso today...we'll see how it goes from here. I do know one thing now. I need to continue the Apriso even while on Humira.

Hi Cindy,

I just took my second dosage moments ago. I'm still a "gas factory". I woke up with pelvic joint pains that went away for the most part after walking around a bit. I think it is going to take a few days to know for sure.

Thanks,

John

I'm still not feeling good even after going back on the Apriso for 4 days. I think I'm worse. The pains are not limited to the pelvic area. Occasional pains in my finger joints...shoulders...knee...feeling feverish every now and then. I'm starting to wonder if this is a reaction to the Humira. That would be really disappointing...I felt so good. To make things worse my rheumy that I trust is gone until October! I'll try calling her office on Monday and see what happens. My next Humira shot is one week from tomorrow...not sure if I should take it. frown
