I'm sick. Been sick for the better part of 2 months. Chest infection. Been on antibiotics twice now. Actually took 4 days off work! Woke up sick again this morning, but this time regular cold type stuff - nose stuffed and running like a fawcet, scratchy burny throat, cough. Doesn't feel like I need the antibiotics again, just blech.

Stupidly, I've stayed on the Enbrel through it all (I know, I know, but I couldn't handle the pain returning - especially based on how I was feeling last week the day before my shot and several times in the weeks prior!!!). There's just too much going on for me to be wretched with pain again, but I'm skipping this week's shot to give my body a chance. Wish me luck.

And I've kept everything up through all of this, except my dance classes. Haven't been able to deal with that on top of working fulltime and rehearsals, production meetings, renovations, looking after the pup, dealing with my sweetie's ex who's reared her ugly head ... again.

It was a year last week when everything went down with my family. Nothing's really been resolved at all and we're watching my nieces very closely still.

Next week is Thanksgiving here. I've take the week off work, have an appointment with my GP. And rehearsals (although, I kind of forgot about Thanksgiving when I was doing my rehearsal schedule and accidentally booked one for Thanksgiving Monday!!! OOPS! Moved it to Tuesday night instead). And reclaiming more of my house from renos.

And I'm not sleeping well at all. Very restless and my brain just won't stop. Been doing my relaxation exercises (when I can breathe anyway) and stretching while I'm at my desk. But I'm super tired and fighting to stay awake.

Anyway, enough whinging from me.

Love and hugs,

Kat

Yuck, Kat! I hope you are able to get through all this intact. You have so much on your plate, you really don't need a virus to top it off.

Kat you silly silly woman you cant take biologic s when you have infections you know that sometimes you have to stop what your doing and put your health first. I know you love your acting and dancing BUT you wont be able to do it at all if your dead will you. NOW BEHAVE YOURSELF AND PUT HEALTH FIRST. Or I will have to come over there and give you a good spanking.

Now, Kevin, don't tempt me. wink2

Thanks Sue and Micki. smile

I'm at home. My sweetie came and picked me up. I have to be at work Thursday and Friday, so I took the rest of today and tomorrow off. My sweetie says that if I'm still like this tomorrow, he's taking me to my GP. I also have to go to the dentist tomorrow as one of my molars broke on Saturday night. No pain. I think I had a root canal in that tooth a few years back. Thank goodness.

Anyway, I'm resting with a puppy at my feet and a cat on my legs, Stargate Atlantis on the tv and my script by my side.

I'm not surprised I've been sick so much lately. The last few months have been stressful beyond belief in some ways. In other ways, it's been quite wonderful! I can't go into it all, partly because it's just so bloody bizarre some of it. Suffice to say, there's no end in sight and my theatre is, beyond being my passion, my sanity. If I didn't have it to go to....

Anyway, in the spirit of Scarlett O'Hara, "I'll think about that tomorrow."

Warm hugs,

Kat

Feel better soon. Kevin is right, you know. We will let you go without the spanking this time, but don't let it happen again. Personally, I don't know how you can keep up with so much going on. Hugs to you, gentle ones.

Thanks, really, I usually take better care of myself. But it's hard for me to admit I'm sick until it whups me upside the head. And with everything going on, sometimes the busier I am the better. Don't know if that makes sense.

Other than coming home to my sweetie, the thing that anchors me is the theatre. If I'm not in the middle of a show, I'm probably researching for one. laugh2 But every so often, life throws several curve balls and it all gets on top of me. But to stop doing theatre in those times is unthinkable. My sweetie knows that and he supports me in it, thank goodness.

Anyway, my brain's about to shut down again.

Warm hugs,

Kat

Kath, Please know that I am thinking about you and if you need to slurg, feel free to P.M, me. I'm right here by your side. You are a Muskoka Girl at heart. I work in bracebridge all next week so maybe I will see your nieces around.

Luv Sammie:)
