Beloved,
Choosing Life!
More than 12 years ago, I had written a post in response to several of our family here who were having a tough time of it. I did not save the article / post; and it was lost, when so many of the old posts were dumped. But I remember we talked for along time about all of life being a decision, and how our decisions have a lasting affect on us. Usually bad decisions cause us more heart ache than some of the unfortunate circumstances that are called accidents. Pain is a thief and a destroyer; that is why we choose to live to the fullest extent each Day. For me some days, mybe just survival, but that was my goal and in getting up the next day; I had accomplished something.
We also talked about the decision that, we do not need to get everything done in one day; if we have given it our best, then we celebrate doing our best. We get into trouble when we make judgments by putting labels on things that are a matter of opinion. I have looked back at some of the things I have said and some of the things I have written, and it is humbling to see how my thinking has changed. My strong opinions make me who I am; but using those strong opinions where they are not needed or wanted can make me ornery. If my response to someone’s rant adds fuel to the fire, or clouds the issue, I am not being a good family member. A post about generalities hoping I will get the message does not seem to work; but when I am personally confronted with a error or a mistake then I can correct it.
If I am afraid to speak the truth about my broken heart; I become distant and forgotten….
I love this place and the people in it. Who said I have to agree with every post? I don’t agree with myself some of the time?
This really is a great family! Merry Christmas and happy new year.

Rumble,
Ah, sometimes I need a bear hug, to break the constant tension of a muscle in contraction. You are welcome if it helps.
