If you want to use this QR code (Quick Response code) just save the image and paste it where you want. You can even print it and use it that way. Coffee cups, T-Shirts etc would all be good for the QR code.

I thought I would pass this on, I read it on another board, roadback.org It is a CNN article about getting labs done for a small fraction of the price, for any reason: if you are uninsured, have a high deductible, or something else. CNN article - Doctors slash patients' lab-test costs http://www.cnn.com/2010/HEALTH/12/08/lo ... tml?hpt=C2
Diet change has improved my RA. I feel best eating raw veggies and some fruits and avoiding grains, sugars, nightshades, beans and dairy. Sed rate dropped from 65 to 19, but it took over a year. www.fatsickandnearlydead.com excess fat/oils = pain for me recipes for raw food on Youtube "raw food romance" and "healing josephine" Josephine is in remission from RA after two years by change diet/exercise

What a terrific facility to have set up for patients. WOW. Have passed the info to all my USA friends and family - including to one cousin who is a doctor, has a practice in Seattle! Am sure she will be using the info for her patients. So, thanks ValsMum for that. Could well make someone's C'mas!
BTW - had to dig out the info as the webpage posted is not respondng. Had to go to the CNN website then put in a search. But well worth the effort (only took c5 mins to fnd the story.)

Hi ValsMum, It doesn't look like your link worked as it was supposed to. I think this is the link for anyone interested: http://www.cnn.com/2010/HEALTH/12/08/low.cost.lab.tests/index.htmlTake care, James

I will be passing this information out to my friends. Just about everyone knows of someone who can't afford to pay for lab tests. Thanks.

This is awesome. That will save me money, its cheaper than our deductible. I avoid tests because of the expense. Now I'll know what's going on more often!
Thanks for finding this info!

America seems like a great place to live - so long as you never get sick. Could never understand the overwhelming opposition to health care reform - and some form of universal health care insurance!

I'm going to check with my manager at work to see if my lab has something similar. Heeehee, LabCorp is a competitor, so maybe that will shame them into offering something similar.
Thanks for fixing the link...I didn't have time before work to hunt up the real article.

It is possible to get very good breaks at your doctors if they will "play ball" with you. We are currently uninsured and there isn't any rainbow on the horizon. Our PCP is great. They write office visits and labs down to what they would accept from Medicaid. Trust Me that is a major break, we pay just a few dollars over what our copay used to be. Those few buxks are made up for in samples of high priced meds. They will give us 30 day supplies of our high end meds in samples so we pay nothing for those. Some of the meds that we can't get samples for we get through a program called Prescription Hope. Costs us $25/prescription for 90 day supplies. The rest we get at a discount from the local pharmacy. Actually we have been able to work deals with Doctors and Pharmacies to where we pay less for our healthcare costs than we paid for Health Insurance, co-pays, and meds through insurance drug plans. You just have to swallow your pride and speak up...It may work.
Keep Kickin'AS Chris

Speak kindly, Live simply, Care deeply, Love generously, and BLAH, HA, HA, LOUDLY! every chance you get.
