It's hardly 'surgery' per se Sue. It is a very small procedure, involves NO cutting. Merely placing a ring of titanium beads around the spincture via endoscopy. Heck, no more than having an actual endoscopy. And, the ring of beads can be removed. It is NOT a fundoplication surgical procedure.

And remember, those PPIs and all the reflux meds come with side effects, the longer one takes the greater the effects. Should NOT be taken for more than a few months at a time. But have posted on the FDA recommendations too many times. People must make their own, but hopefuly 'enlightened' choices!

But each to their own. Me? I prefer to want to know ALL the facts of the matter and to be aware, always. Then my decision is taken in full knowledge and then, upto me.

thanks regarding procedure, you're right, does sound simple, will pass that on. if hubby could stop the drugs with such a simple procedure, maybe he would opt for such. we'll see what he thinks.

thanks again, you're so sweet to be looking out for us! heart

Now trying to heal our wounds because we were starting to gear up to do another new children's educational cartoon show from the same producers, BUT just suddenly learned that it won't be happening for us because...... once again....

the show will be produced in CANADA-

Now you know why I blame Mig for everything!! lol! laugh2

Hey no blaming me -- Alan has that whole area pretty well covered already, doesn't he! laugh2

Oh dear, in Canada eh, well you and Marsha could always move up here ya know? Bet the pups would enjoy the snow, unless it's Vancouver bound! But I hear they have a Starbucks too! lol

now there's an idea, I did very much like going up to Toronto every few weeks or so, a very vibrant and alive city..

but that was mostly in July thru September-
Maybe if the global warming thing is for real, Canada should be just about perfect for us.... in about 1,000 years or so!! :santa2:

Same here. And these were shows that adults would like, too. Reading Rainbow was another favorite.
