If you want to use this QR code (Quick Response code) just save the image and paste it where you want. You can even print it and use it that way. Coffee cups, T-Shirts etc would all be good for the QR code.

I have noticed that my vision changes whenever I take Pred. I have to be careful to not schedule eye exams when I am taking the Pred or my new glasses won't be good when I am not taking the pred. Does this sound nutty or what?
I will never be able to figure out what is going on.

hi Lon, thanks everyone for the wishes and checking back Eyes are still blurry, but i can still do normal things. Have a constant headache though (sure my eye sight is getting weaker, have noticed the differance in last 3-4 weeks). The eye doc saw me twice and i finally convinced him to get steroidal drops (he blamed it all on lasik, put some temp plugs which didnt help at all. and guess what steroidal drops did) So to answer the question, he doesnt think i have iritis or any other inflammation. But he only gave me enough prescription for a month. and i running out of it now Seriously about time the doc's appreciated the link between AS and Eye inflammation/dryness and such. I am sure there are a lot of people lot worse than I am. Not sure whats next, have an appointment in first week of feb. see where that takes me.

Ansh, I have a terrible time remembering posts. But there are many people here who care. So keep us posted. Some times our own porlbems helps someone else wonder what is going on. Happy trails

So have run out of steroid drops. Eyes hurt and are blurry. Gp gave referral to another opthal specialist. (last one had nerves to write back to my gp saying mild dry eyes and discomfort, ****#$*^(&)&)*^$@%%* thats what is say to that. try living my life for a week, grrr) so obviously not too happy. The wrist and shoulder injury havent healed, coming close to year now. The other wrist is huring too, rhuemy wants to check if it is early stages for RA. But how can he, untill it all swells up and am screwed.. grrr.. not happy again... well so the sory goes...
gp asked if i want a mental/emotional health support. No, I need some one to fix my eyes and wrist!

I read that Humira and some of the other Biologics have vision side effects. Are you on any of those meds?

Well, different doctor today. So he seems it is iritis, but just cant see inflammation. Has asked to stay away from maxidex, now that someone explained what steriodal drops can do to you.. i rather be away from them. He asked to come in, as soon as i get a flare next time, so that he can confirm the diagnosis. The vision and refractions are fine, so the blurred vision is from dry eyes. Have found Preservative free drops much more helpful than the others. I did read it in humira side effects, but everything is listed in it may be i should blame humira when the wife goes off at me about doing dishes

I had blurred vision ( infact now i am in treatment)because of irritis, so I consulted with the opthalmologist and using medications like prednisolone every two hourly for week then four times per day for 1 week, then three times and now two times for two days with Atropine eye drop now it is 95% OK and will be totally normal after 4/5 days. So Ansh I think better to consult with eye doctor ASP.

Hi
I am currently suffering my yearly attack of iritis, funnily enough it always attacks between Dec and Feb. I've been prescribed an hourly drop of Maxidex and a drop of Tobrex thrice daily. Been on these drops since last Friday and the effect was almost immediate, however this morning I paid another visit to the ophtalmologist and she said to go on with the drops till next Friday.
Has anyone of you had an advice NOT to have these drops? And if yes, why? And what alternative cure could one revert to. Believe me, my eys balls looked like two tomatoes! and they hurt like hell.
thanks

Hey Manu, Hope it all gets settled soon. My ophto advised that prolonged use of steroid drops lead to glaucoma.
