Good morning all.
Not alot to report as of yet. Situation is floods are still rising. The worst is not meant to hit until tomorrow afternoon, 58 suburbs are evacuated or evacuating. Over 6500 homes are looking to go under but surprisingly many people are in good spirit. Death toll still at 10 and hasn't increased over night (thank god) but people missing has increased to 78 and grave fears for 18.

Looking at images of places I shopped at as a child, they are under water and normaly hundreds of meters from any water. Flood levels are over 18m expected to get as high or higher than 21m the infamous 1974 flood levels were 20m.

One bit of good news is we have blue skies. Yes we can actualy see the sun. Had almost forgotten what it looked like. However sadly it won't make any difference on the flood levels as the damage has already been done hopefully it will lesson the time the flood waters are up.

Have not heard from my daughter yet this morning so hoping that means they didnt have to evacuate over night.
Still no landline phone or internet this morning but I spoke with my wireless company and they may be able to keep me online even after my credit runs out as I can't top up because money not able to be transfered into credit card.

I hope I am not boring all of you with these updates but it helps with the stress to write about it.

Take care everyone
Trish

I forgot to to say thank you to everyone for yout thoughts and Prayers. I and I am sure all QLD'ers realy appreciate them.

Waters in Ipswich on the south should peak at 11am today this will be a guide to see how bad the Brisbane floods will be tomorrow. Ipswich is just a wash right now can hardly believe what I am seeing. Friends and family have mostly all evacuated and are safe so thats a relief.
Even though there are blue skies have just found out we are expected to get maybe another 20mm of rain today. An sadly another increase in people missing, now stands at 90.

Just heard from my daughter, she is safe and well and the people she is with will try and get her back home to us later today. She is 13 and stuck at her boyfriends place so I realy don't think she has minded much lol. So far the main road to Bribie is still closed but hoping it will open later today.

Thanks again everyone.

I'm so glad to hear that you and your family are OK. I was watching the TV and seeing how bad some places are. I hoe your great uncle is ok and calls you to let you know all is well. I will be keeping you and the family in my prayers.

Short update. QLD is a mess. Floods still getting worse. Sadly death toll at 12 now. Would have been much higher if not for emergency services and broardcasting.

My house now has mould on the second story floor boards and blids are mouldy, clothes also mouldy. This is from the storm water on Monday and yesterday. Cleaning everything but mould keeps coming back. At least we don't have any flood water unlike so many people.

Well over 15 000 homes to be under water. Realy is devistating. Brisbane floods should peak tomorrow. Then just a waiting game for the waters to go down and the big clean up can start.

Still no news on my uncle prob won't know anything untill after the flood waters go down and phone lines back up and running.

Good news phones and internet here on the island are back online. Also my daughter is back home safe and sound.
Times like this realy puts things into perspective.

Take care everyone.
