If you want to use this QR code (Quick Response code) just save the image and paste it where you want. You can even print it and use it that way. Coffee cups, T-Shirts etc would all be good for the QR code.

Hey,
It's been a bit hectic down here with the earthquake and that but on a positive note, I trialed for the school football (soccer) team and played really well. Not being up myself in any way but I had alot of potential before AS struck. I just love playing, love the feeling. Ive been having problems with my left knee for a while now (although it has seemed to get better) with fluid and inflammation in it. Its pretty difficult to bend it far so sprinting is difficult and I have lost alot of flexibility in this knee. The fluid seems to have gone away a bit, about a month ago it was really bad but I still cant grab my left foot and stretch my quad muscles without getting really bad cramp. Would this be because there is still inflammation and fluid in it or because Ive just lost alot of flexibility? I really wanna get back into competitive football, I have alot to prove to many people.
Another positive, I've been feeling pretty good recently. Ive been able to think about other things aside pain! Ive also found that taking about 3 or 4 fish oil capsules after breakfast has helped a hell of alot!
Thanks (:

I'm glad that you knee seems to be doing ok, just be really careful it might not take much to make it mad..lol but you need to at least give it a try right?
I have heard good things about fish oil too.

I have a problem with my left knee too since December. I am guessing this knee problem is associated with the existing inflammation and pain around my left sacroiliac joint. Do you feel any other pain at your left side?
the pain comes and goes but definitely has to do with what i eat or drink

Hi Seb, love your possi outlook kiddo. I started with knee issues in my early teens and was an athlete. It wouldn't hurt to have it checked out by a Orthopedic just to make sure you havent' torn anything before you push forward. Glad to hear some other symptoms have calmed down for you. Cindy

Both of my knees have had this odd burning pain when I get down one them (like on my hands and knees). I started taking Imuran (Azathioprine) and they seem about 50% better with less burning. I don't know if it is the drug or just a natural cycle.
I really hope that you are able to play on the soccer team. I think movement is great for us and soccer sure has a lot of movement. It's much better for you than what we call football over here.
John

Seb, good for you!! Don't push your knee too hard if it's flaring, but otherwise, GO FOR IT!!!!! As for the stretching, don't expect yourself to be able to do a full stretch just yet. Only stretch until you feel the slightest pull, hold there, take a deep relaxing breathe and relax into the stretch slightly more deeply. Do it every single day, both legs the same number of reps. You'll build the flexibility back again, but it may take a little time. Keep icing it and, again, please do not push the knee if there's acute pain or inflammation. It needs to heal. As for proving things, the only person you need to prove anything to is yourself. Other people and their expectations can go take a flying leap. I'm so glad you're feeling better!!! Hugs,
Kat

i find when it comes to exercise, its a balance, some but not too much, and that depends day to day, just listen to your body, it'll be your guide.
