If you want to use this QR code (Quick Response code) just save the image and paste it where you want. You can even print it and use it that way. Coffee cups, T-Shirts etc would all be good for the QR code.

ahhh now which one is the problem?
Recently ive grown very sensitive to the dairy group. so after looking for info that apparently does not exist, ive decided to ask ya'll.
i have had trouble with cream even before NSD but milk and cheese were A OK. though i seem to be more sensitive to milk now, cream is waaay (whey?) worse. so i think lactose is NOT a problem cuz cream has less lactose than milk right? But if theory serves... casein would be higher in cream right? But what about whey?
i know im prob answering my own ?s but i feel better if i talk them out. what do u guys think?

to rule out lactose:
lactose free milk or taking a lactose pill with dairy or yogurt, the buggies digest the lactose or cheese, lactose free
i had allergy testing done, showed lots of antibodies to casein for me
also separately said "milk", so wondering what that's about.
large amounts of dairy flare my gastritis, but that's the only thing i ever really noticed. but maybe dairy is contributing to leaky gut / autoimmune? so have tried to cut back on the dairy. i never ate much, just my daily yogurt that i've cut out, and an ounce of cheese a day which i've also cut out. haven't noticed anything.....yet.
sue
Spondyloarthropathy, HLAB27 negative Humira (still methylprednisone for flares, just not as often. Aleve if needed, rarely.) LDN/zanaflex/flector patches over SI/ice vits C, D. probiotics. hyaluronic acid. CoQ, Mg, Ca, K. chiro walk, bike no dairy (casein sensitivity), limited eggs, limited yeast (bread)

Well given that most of us have intestinal issues... https://www.kickas.org/ubbthreads/ubbthreads.php?ubb=showflat&Number=434620&page=1https://www.kickas.org/ubbthreads/ubbthre...6009#Post396009sadly it could just as easily be lactose AND casein AND whey causing us problems. Lactose will feed the gut's klebsiella population, while casein and whey stir up immune response when escaping from a leaky gut into the bloodstream. However none of those 3 explain why cream is worse; cream has lower concentrations of lactose, casein, and whey compared to milk http://nutritiondata.self.com/facts/dairy-and-egg-products/51/2so there is probably yet another factor involved. Cream is mostly milkfat; it has a huge amount of fat compared to milk, around 20 times as much fat in heavy cream as in 2% milk. So one possibility I can think of is that the fat in your cream is hard to digest, and is messing up your digestion which will make you worse. I've heard ultra-pasturization makes dairy hard to digest, so perhaps you would do better with fresh cream from a neighbor's cow, etc. Or maybe your digestion of fats in general is not so effective for some reason, and the amount of cream you experimented with had enough fat to overwhelm your system.

thank u for your input sue i had that same testing done about 4 years ago, pre NSD of course. i eliminated ALL dairy including butter for 5-6 mos with no change in pain/inflammation/mobility etc. so dont really understand the current situation . i think u should keep at it for a while though, sometimes things take time i guess.

thank u sjlc for your input as well. i will check those links u provided and see if i can add things together. u do bring a good point i hadnt thought of... milkfat! if its not the other stuff, its obviouslt SOMETHING.. but what? i ruled out whey since most is lost when making cheese anyway. even just 2 tbsp sour cream leaves me aching. ive been a mess ever since i took hyaluronic acid over a month ago. i think it ate holes in my intestines or something. im more sensitive to food than ever, its really awful. my diet now consists of meat, fruit, fat and broccoli -occasionally. seems im sensitive to broccoli now too and its the only veg i can eat, or 'could' eat. thanks again. hope u r doing well

Hey maybe you should try some supplements that are supposed to help leaky gut: glutamine (recommended by my doc) and colostrum (from an article posted last month by Molly)

Sunny I am getting seriously worried about you, sweetie Sorry for my terrible memory, but have you seen anyone lately about your food problems? If not, I really think you should. I am very concerned about how the foods you can eat are gradually dwindling all the time. Something is going on here and I urge you to go and see someone to try to get to the bottom of it. Please keep us posted on how you are. Your friend, Tink

tink,
thank you for your concern hon. im concerned too, i HAVE been. i dont know what to do. ie dealt with food allergies for 14 yrs now. unable to eat raw fruits and veggies or tree nuts. ive been to docs and theyve never seen someone with allergies so bad they dont know what to do with me except say 'dont eat the offending foods'. now with AS and fibro and weighing 105 lbs. im seen as an eating disorder instead of a problem i honestly cannot help. do i wanna eat? DESPERATELY! but if i eat the wrong stuff i hurt so bad i dont wanna move. i have 1 doc willing to work with me with antibiotics and trying to get this under control so my diet can improve. shes the only one who doesnt think im crazy. and i real,y dont care if they think im crazy, i just wish there were more out there willing/able to help.
maybe someone needs to learn more about my intestinal health and go from there. all this stuff is really messing with my head. its just toooooo much. MERCY! i go to doc on wed so i might get some flagyl and see how that goes.
thanks for thinkin of me.

This is too much for anyone to bear - no wonder it is messing with your head. I am putting my thinking cap on to see if I can think of anything or anyone who might be able to help here...
