for me, ice and/or heat seem to work better than almost anything for (strong) muscle spasms, that and not moving, not using the muscles. even better than my muscle relaxants which seem best for low level spasms, but maybe cause i can't take a high dose (drops BP too much). some say TENS helps with spasms.

Hi Tommy,
Sorry your going through it now as well I just suffered mate nothing really helps that pain mines settled down a bit now so maybe the Enbrel has helped it you never know. My carpel tunnel has flared up in my right wrist now so its taken my mind of it a bit.

Few things were as exhausting as that type of neck pain. I tried countless things not many worked. Some that did a bit were my portable TENS unit, portable traction unit to stretch out things ( that actually hurt more initially but gave some long term relief, and in my case massage worked wonders as did a very good acunpunturist luckily acupuncture guy was covered by my insurance and massage therapist was very reasonably priced

Don't feel quite so bad today. I would think from what you say you are very similar to me and most of the pain I get now is from the damage. My Rheumy told me a while back there is nothing they can do for me now except try and control the pain. Enbrel doesn't do anything for the damage and will only help the inflammation so only helps some of the pain.
Well at least you know we are going through the same thing so if your bad then rant away mate I know exactly what your going through.
