If you want to use this QR code (Quick Response code) just save the image and paste it where you want. You can even print it and use it that way. Coffee cups, T-Shirts etc would all be good for the QR code.

Donette, what an interesting website! I'll look at it more. We already have at least 1g of C a day, but I'll look into more.
Hi, Davo. Great to hear from you. Thanks for sharing your experience. I'm going to ask rheumy about antibiotics and get cultures. I've been keeping him out of contact sports, since he's had joint pain off and on for years. I don't want confirmation of my fears, but wanted to avoid damage. We have little processed food, but could cut back on the GF bread/pasta, etc.
Hi, Mig! Good to see you again. I know, iritis at 10 is a bummer. I HATE iritis. Thankfully, he is responding well and is back to mostly "normal" now. I think the stress in his case was the terrible GI illness he had at the beginning of the month. Salmonella? It really set things off. Stress is def. a trigger for me, so I'm trying to think peaceful thoughts in all of this. ;-)
Thanks y'all! I love this place. Best wishes for a healthy, painfree fall,

Davo,
How long did you have to take the Cipro for?
Thanks, Donette

Really glad to hear that he is responding well to iritis treatment Ann and that he is mostly back to normal.
I hope they will be able to culture for the culprit, salmonella or the like may very well have caused a ReA and the GI illness would definitely be the kind of physical stressor that could've triggered the immune response into an iritis attack. I always worry about any form of food poisoning, as food is a gamble that we can't be certain of avoiding 100% of the time. No-one should have to deal with this rotten stuff at 10 yrs old, the poor little guy. My very best wishes that he can be treated effectively to avoid more lasting troubles.
Hugs for better days ahead! mig

Thanks very much, mig! Trying not to worry for him. He has the personality to overcome all obstacles, so he has that in his favor. Glad we are seeing specialists soon and hope they have some good options. Having a mom who's been through it has to help, too. :-)
