If you want to use this QR code (Quick Response code) just save the image and paste it where you want. You can even print it and use it that way. Coffee cups, T-Shirts etc would all be good for the QR code.

I knew sooner or later after being on Humira for 3 month's and now on Remicade infusion's that it was likely to happen. There isn't much info on here in the past about it. Who has had it and how did you treat it? My m.i.l. told me that she uses 3 parts water to 1 part peroxide and swishes it around for awhile. I forgot to ask her how many times she does this a day and for how many day's. She is on a steroid inhaler for asthma and say's that she get's it a few times a year. I also read that you can take apart an acidophilus capsule and mix it with a little water and coat your tongue with that. I put a call in to the Dr.s but they are closed today. Just wanted to hear what you guy's had to say about it.

my husband was dx'ed with candida. he was managing it with diet, and said that did make him feel better. he avoided sugar, fermented things, things with yeast in them (like breads), mushrooms, vinegar, there are lists of these diets. there was medicine / supplements he could have taken as well, but he didn't. the diet helped him a lot. here's a page with a list of foods to avoid: http://www.everydiet.org/diet/candida-diet

Dr. put me on Nystatin for 2 week's. I have to gargle and swish with it. That's good. I hope it is cleared up before my next Remicade infusion in 3 week's or they won't do it. Thank's Sue, I'm cutting just about everything out. This is one of the side effect's of being on a TNF blocker.

My littlest one had to have Nystatin as a preventative for thrush when he had a bone marrow transplant. He never got it, so it must have worked. He got the flu and later got chicken pox, but never had thrush. Hope you feel better soon.

Well the Nystatin wasn't working so I called my Rheumatologist. He put me on Diflucan pill's, one every day for 5 day's. Already on day 2 my tongue look's so much better. I think I will have this under control for my next Remicade infusion. I just hope it doesn't keep coming back. I am taking my probiotic's and drinking my Kefir yogurt as well. It is all a balancing act isn't it?

Hi Pea,
I hope your thrush stayed under control. I was also thinking sucking on chewable vitamin C tablets throughout the day might help too. Vitamin C kills yeasts/bacterias.
Hope you are doing well.

Thank's Donette,
Yes, it is under control now. The Diflucan did the trick. Lot's of probiotic's afterwards. The Vitamin C sound's good. I think it was because I had back to back Remicade infusions. They were only 2 week's apart to start. That was a lot. I had just come off of Humira as well.
