Husband diagnosed with AS in '92. Enbrel appx 2011- March 2013 when ER doctor temporarily terminated. Grateful to have finally found Kickas in April 2013 and NSD since May 2013. Since NSD no need to resume Enbrel. Enbrel only helped hip pain, did not touch chest pain. Since NSD, both hip and chest pain have improved. Still takes pain and other pills daily, but far fewer.

No question is silly! smile

Oil of oregano is an essential oil that some people take for its purported medicinal benefits. Supports of oil of oregano believe that it has antibacterial, antiviral, and antifungal properties. If I recall correctly, they used to sterilize medical instruments with this in the old days.

Some people who believe they have candida (myself included) take it for its antifungal properties. I know that when I took it (I no longer take it), I used it for 2-3 weeks at a time then supplemented with an probiotic afterwards. It's a natural antibiotic, so you probably don't want to use it long term.

As with everything, make sure you research on its contraindications before taking it.

Hello, MaryL:

I have used oregano oil with some success in treating intestinal problems. The form I use is manufactured by NOW and it is enteric-coated. In this form, it should be taken with food because, the exact moment it opens up--well, You will know it and without food it can be painful.

Certainly, I believe in it's antibacterial products; one of the ONLY effective 'natural' antibiotics in addition to silver in colloidal form. It is probably effective against all parasites, and in general is a great weapon in our arsenal against AS.

HEALTH,
John

I agree with everything FormerFoodie said.. I had used it as well for candida for 2 weeks and then started in with probiotic as well afterwards.

All it did for me is make me feel ill. Gawd it tasted bad too. When I used it topically it burned like thunder but didn't get rid of yeast. Be careful where you put that stuff LOL

Hey, if it works for you guys great !

If you guys want to get rid of yeast then please have a look into methylene blue. That is what worked best for me.
