If you want to use this QR code (Quick Response code) just save the image and paste it where you want. You can even print it and use it that way. Coffee cups, T-Shirts etc would all be good for the QR code.

Chin up mate... I had some dep after mine but i had PTSD following my accident.... So cant really comment on the hip job alone....me personally, I dwelled in the macabre and became almost obsessed with the surgery, i read everything i could, trawling the net, watching videos, reading surgeons reports, even looking through catalogs of the "mechanical body parts" ?.... Far too much time on my hands. But, as we all know pal, what goes up, must come down. After being so elated from the surgery, the hope of improvement, the morphine, eventually you come down . Just try and be positive mate, its early days , you will be amazed at the progress you will make after a short while but it does take a little time. With your new bionic parts your on the road to better things. Try and enjoy the autumn sunshine with plenty of trips out for a bimble along. Don't overdo things either. You need to have the combination of doing nothing and doing everything just right, as doing either one on its own will make you tired and fuel the fire you have burning at the moment. Be positive, try and see all the good aspects of what treatment you have received and what benefit you will gain. The pain killers are probably this biggest cause of your depression mate, coming off them i was like a heroin addict. Horrible. Chin up buddy.

dropped the painkillers as soon as I could Buster...after just two days on the morphine.
when I got home I took one only tramadol for a few weeks...then stopped
your post makes a lot of sense to me, with some fine nuggets of wisdom/common sense
I can clearly see from your reply that I have obviously got some things "wrong"
many thanks B

And remember, ITS EARLY DAYS PAL..... Even that amount of tramadol taken regular for a few weeks will create a withdrawal... Its opium. I use tramadol as it does take the edge off my normal AS day to day stuff, but I take it with great caution, and try not to take the two pills and always try to avoid day after day on the trot with them. Them are wicked gear mate, don't underestimate them. Just type in on net or youtube " tramadol withdrawal" .... You'd be horrified mate. But, as you say, your wise to that and got off them as quick as you could. I guarantee coming off them will be responsible in part for your low ebb.....

I stuck it a week and a half and had a hellava time coming off them keep well and pain free Buster, and thanks again bro

Are you seeing a doctor specifically for the depression? Something to think about. Take care
sue
Spondyloarthropathy, HLAB27 negative Humira (still methylprednisone for flares, just not as often. Aleve if needed, rarely.) LDN/zanaflex/flector patches over SI/ice vits C, D. probiotics. hyaluronic acid. CoQ, Mg, Ca, K. chiro walk, bike no dairy (casein sensitivity), limited eggs, limited yeast (bread)

Hey, John:
It is probably due to steroid withdrawals; they usually really hammer a person with prednisone after such a surgery. I had so much that it caused a diabetic issue, somewhat temporary but now borderline type II.
Just monitor Your blood sugar and if low, it could be hypoglycemia as the steroids mess with this as well as mood-modulating hormones; from depression to "'roid rage."
Just so You will know--it will not last because it is due to the drugs--try and have a bit of crack in meantime.
Cheerio, John

John not aware of having had any prednisone unless I got it all in one dose on day of surgery!
only drug I am on at moment is the self administered injection ENOXAPARIN SOD 40mg/0.4ml to help keep the threat of blood clots at bay
