My mother-in-law is in hospice care here at home. We are hoping that she able to transition back to our normal in home care, but for now she really needs the palliative aspect to her care.
I've been swimming as often as possible. Yesterday I got in 1/2 mile. It makes my heart happy to see your posts pop up in my email.
Keep on moving!

The first thing I've just got to say is THANK YOU ALL FOR KEEPING ME MOTIVATED!!!
I see your posts every day and I'm soooooo grateful that we're in this together!
Thank you also for your messages of encouragement.
I just have to say that when I go, if it's slow, I want hospice. They zipped in her and took my M.I.L off all the meds that made her dizzy, and in 4 days she was up eating two servings of food! And she's really enjoying her coffee in the am and beer in the pm.
As for me, I'm getting over to the pool for at least 3 days a week to swim. Making myself stay in the water for at least 30 minutes. Most times 40+
And here's a great happy dance that Sue22 shared with me.

Yesterday I set out to make a 3 mile run, after 1/2 mile I decided there was to much snow on the roads. I am afraid of slipping for some reason as I get older. I turned around, and ran back to the gym for the elliptical. I did a 1 mile run, and 22 minutes on the elliptical.
After work I helped my wife at her shop. She runs a swim suit shop (www.hapari.com). The new line of swim suits came in yesterday. They had to box up the old line, and put out the new line of swim suits. I spent the night moving boxes around.
Erica I hope you are doing OK. My step father passed away a couple of months ago. Hospice is great. They did a lot for him, and for my mother.
HAPPINESS!!! yes, I wanted to sing along! I will get this to the big screen and have Lill' Nikki see this. she loves to sing and dance.
I will never forget the hospice volunteer who came to help with my Dad. She called him by name, kind of teared up when she saw his skinny but still strong body. and then she just became his friend. yep we still support them.
choppin' ice, lifting the 45# lill' Nikki - takin gout a gas stove and replacing it with a wood.
go team go-
I keep the New Covenant, when I fail....I am pulled back into place by HIM.
Thanks for everyone's care and concern. Honestly now we are all settled in to a groove it's good. Life seems more precious this week. Isn't it amazing how much we all have in common the older we get?

This mornings run 6 miles ending at the gym. I then lifted some weights. Then walked and ran the mile to get back home. About an hour after I finished my workout it started snowing.
