Wow... a lot of stress with work recently and my neck pain is through the roof. My father´s neck was fused... I feel like him right now my neck is so stiff I need to turn my body to look right or left.

I am fairly certain stress brought on this flare... hopefully the stress diminishes sometime soon.

Hang in there and keep on Kicking.

Tim

Hope You and family otherwise are doing great there in Argentina must be turning Springtime there?

Hi Tim,

Ouch!! Hope this one passes soon!!

I have found stress to be a factor for in regards to inflammatory AS and/or gut activity for me too. Luckily stress had been to a minimum lately, but in looking back I can always correlate a roller coaster of AS activity to it!

Hope you get a chance to rest soon!

Wishing you whatever it takes to help carry this flare away.... (For me that is soaking in hot mineral springs, hot showers, herbal tea, tiger balm, green juices, raw chocolate, and the most perfect pillow, along with lots of rest.)

~Andrea

I'm now a KICK AS (and Kick IBD) success story!! After going low starch Paleo to heal my gut, I can now eat nearly all starches, grains & foods without inflammation, flare-ups, or pain. I used a modified SCD diet approach (minus dairy! plus cacao ♥). Cheers to healing & thriving again! I blog at http://www.forestandfauna.com/about/

Sorry for the work stress...I can so relate right now.

its gotten to my GI tract...a bit of gastritis and not digesting my food.

and my blood pressure.

but thanks to humira, my neck and SI and other joints are hanging in there.

work stress is hard to get away from, I know.

I'm finding myself doing a lot of deep breathing exercises these days, and taking as many walking breaks as I can.

laughter too...when we can.....for me that's my husband, my bird, and tv sitcoms...for you it may be something else

Tim, I am sorry to hear it. As if work stress isn't enough, you also have to deal with its effect on your body.

Is there anything you can do to release some of the stress?

Love and warm hugs,

Kat

Epsom salt baths / and or Magnesium gel as a liniment .....seems to help my neck pain when I have a bad day at work - My grandmother had severe kyphosis and my mother is developing it quickly .... I guess I am going that way too according to the X-rays of my osteophytes -:(

Hey Tim, Hope the stress eases for you soon. That sucks. You really realize how much you use your neck once it starts barking at you whenever you move it. Would massage help a bit? Hope you feel better soon

Neck is doing much better... still not back to normal.

Thanks for all the kind thoughts. This work stress may be with me for some time.
