Me too, Jan. I just started Mobic today, and I am nervous! I have been on 7 different NSAIDS over the past 2 years, and am sick of it! Hooked up with a new Rheumy, and he switched me to mobic today, so we shall see. I am VERY interested in the diet that you are talking about, so I'll see you over there! Thanks for all the postings for us new people, I already feel less alone!

Cheers!

Ellyn

Hi Ellyn,
Welcome to the KickAS family.

I don't have anything to add about Mobic. It was the last one I tried and was allergic to that one too.

Just wanted to say welcome

Have a great day

Thanks, Pam! I appreciate the welcome! Allergic to Mobic, that's a bummer. What do you take now? Have a great day!

Cheers!

The only thing I take at the moment is KickAS, three times a day. Sometimes is better to take on a full stomach though But the jokes forum is not recommended while drinking any liquids that could burn as they come out the nose. .... you especially have to watch out for Ian... he will sneak in one that has iced tea going everywhere once in awhile.

Take care,
Pam

Twisks: You write that you are on "just one" mobic. Are you on 7.5 or 15 milligrams?

Ooh Ellyn, NO Mobic for me at all - thanks to the diet I'm a NSAID-free zone and feeling better than any drug could I'm sure.

Take care,

Jan

Well, I don't know if anyone will see this post, but I wrote that I started Mobic, and low-and-behold, I have just had my second GI bleed! What am I going to do? This drug thing Stinks! Now I have to be on nothing, and I leave for Alaska in 6 days. Pain should be back set in but good by then. Does anyone have any suggestions for me?
Thanks folks!

Ellyn

Sorry to hear the NSAIDs have damaged you. they give reedom from pain at a cost and temporary only it seems....
Gut damage is their major limitation and a long-term medication free solution is more desirable.
Jan got very good results through diet, so have many others, and you definitely have to work on healing you GIT now. Never to late to learn how.

Thanks for the reply, Ted, I appreciate it! I printed out the diet info, and am going to get started today. I am glad that Jan had good results. I read that the diet only works for HBLA B27 gene positive AS people, which I am not, is that true??

THanks again!

Best!

Ellyn
