If you want to use this QR code (Quick Response code) just save the image and paste it where you want. You can even print it and use it that way. Coffee cups, T-Shirts etc would all be good for the QR code.

Hey everyone! I've added a 'Resources' page to my blog. Most of the links on there I got from here, but it's definitely a work in progress. You can find it here: http://www.everydaybattle.com/resources/I'm starting to compile a section dedicated to NSD and recipes - including BettyRawker's site, obviously - and was curious if you guys had any suggestions on what to go with. Let me know what you think!

Hi! I just checked out your AS Resources Page and I think it is a wonderful idea and very much needed. My biggest struggle with AS has been diet and finding quick and tasteful recipes. I recently, by accident, found The Paleo Mom website. I have ordered all three of her books and am anxiously awaiting their arrival. I was raised on carbs and starches and it has been a really hard challenge for me trying to figure out which foods are okay for me. I think your resource page will be a fantastic avenue for people to get a wide variety of information. Thanks for your hard work of putting it all together on one page, great job!!!

Thanks so much! This is literally the coolest feedback I've gotten on the page, so far.
I've had a lot of false-starts with NSD and Paleo, but I figure resilience is a better option over accepting defeat. I ordered a new iodine testing kit recently and am looking forward to getting back on the wagon.

You are most welcome!!! Would you share what kind of testing kit that you purchased? I was reading an article the other day that was talking about two different types of iodine and that you should dilute it with water so you don't get false positives or false negative readings. I have battled AS for so long now and I have always had a positive attitude, but lately it seems to be taking it's tole on me and I want to beat this and I am learning that it looks like diet will make the most impact. I'm on Humira, but that doesn't completely put me in remission. I've been having more and more problems with my eyes lately and I just worry about how I will function if I lose my vision. I don't know, I guess I've hit the "why me" part of the disease and I'm angry and scarred of my future. Sorry for going on and on about my problems. Instead of feeling sorry for myself I need to get out there and do something about it to make a difference like you are doing with your resource page.

The 'why me' phase is the hardest part to deal with, that's for sure. A lot of my struggles and the resulting website that I made are BECAUSE I keep going through 'why me' phases and need to get back some control. I ordered the 'SEOH Iodine Solution' from Amazon: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00BR6ULKUBut that was before I saw Dragonslayer's old post about the reliability of Iodine tests: https://www.kickas.org/ubbthreads/ubbthreads.php?ubb=showflat&Number=491178I wish I'd started with iodine testing sooner, that's for sure. Do some searches around the forum and let me know if you end up finding any other suggestions for specific iodine purchases. I'll definitely be writing something up about the iodine kit I'm getting (should be here in the next few days!).

Hey Wes! Thank you for the information. So far I haven't found any mention of a specific brand of iodine. What does seem to be talked about on the internet is iodine with potassium. I will continue to search and you will be the first one that I will let know if I come across anything. I did come across a website that I think has some valuable information on preforming the test, linked below (that is if I linked it correctly!). Two of the three books that I ordered by Dr. Sarah Ballantyne arrived today!!!! Have you ever had a food allergy or vitamin and nutriant tests done? That is something that is on my top priority list. Dr. Ballantyne talks about the importance of these tests. I hope your kit arrives soon. Let me know how the testing goes.
