I have several Enbrel pre-filled syringes that weren't refrigerated for 7 days during a vacation I had. I came back and realized that the fridge door was broken and was opened a few inches and wasn't cold at all. The location I live in was about 70-75 degrees room temperature at the time. I then taped the fridge door closed and it became cold again until the door could be fixed by a repairman permanently. Does anyone have experience with anything similar? The doctor's office said they would be able to get the manufacturer to replace a few of them free of charge. However, I'm wondering if the remaining syringes would actually be harmful to my body or just partially or entirely ineffective.

Replace them. I think they would be ineffective at worst but why risk it

Call the pharmacy that supplied them or call the Enbrel folks. Seems like my rheumy told me that Humira lasted a couple of weeks without refrigeration, but in any case, it might be salvageable. But talk to the professionals before deciding to throw it out.
DX: Psoriatic Arthritis, Osteoporosis, Psoriasis
Meds: MTX since Oct 2009, 15mg/week. Cimzia-restarted after 2 yrs away.
