Please explain the NEED to post a dirty joke in KickAS. Why would you even want to when you know this is a family site? In today's world, it seems that 'I Want' is justification to do anything, reguardless of the social implications. A little self control and none of this would ever come up.

I just made a Yahoo search for 'dirty jokes' and found 82 sites which should satisfy anyone's needs, why not use them instead of KickAS??

I don't mean to come on strong but, come on, I'm sure you didn't come here looking for dirty jokes so why get upset because you can't post em?

I'm just wondering when this whole discussion will come to an end.We all know upon comming here that this is a family site.Are there still ppl out there that think "dirty jokes" are for childen?.....Every one know that if you hide them under a special heading, then, sooner or later that is exactly where the children are going to look. Yes , and like Pete said ,go to Yahoo if you want them.They don't belong on Kickas, Period..! I love this site just the way it is run.Everyone involved in the operation of the site is doing a wonderful job . Please keep it up.That's my comment .I won't say more about it.

Sorry, I did read what you said. This has also ALWAYS been a "G" rated site. Always worked before, why not now? Seem that there is a place for everything. Still dont think that a "G" rated site is the place for smut. A lot of adults dont care for it also. LIke Dan said. If you want dirty jokes, then go to a dirty joke site. That is not what AS is about. It would be too bad if I had to moniter every second that my son was on this site. He has made some very good friends here.......Too bad a few want to change what has been working for a few years now. I believe the saying goes, if it aint broke dont fix it. KickAS has worked the way it has been. Why change it?

ok, personaly i wouldnt even go to the joke section.......... so i was more trying to make the point that if you are going to say someone cant do this, then later someone wont beable to do that......... (if that made any sense) begin the dictatorship......

i dont post dirty jokes, i wont post them,,, i was trying to make a suggestion that would please the whole lot of you. that is ALL i did was make a suggestion.........

NOW i wonder......... is there a spondy group somewhere for kids???????? HEY that would be nice, then he could have kids who live what he lives, i lived it and thought i was alone, someone he can relate to on his level. of course that would present a whole new set of problems.......shoot. mabey the owner of this group might start a kids section?

hum...... i can imagine right now you think im telling you take him away.......BUT IM NOT......i have GENUINE concern and REALLY do think it would be super to have him meet other kids, just as we adults like meeting other adults who we can relate to......

so, please dont think im some huge jerk......im not.......all i was trying to do was make a suggestion, not start a war. i would hate it if my kids had this, i remember the pain as a child and had a mother who wouldnt take me to a doctor, told me it was "growing pains".......yeah come to find out i had spondy my whole life. i remember laying there crying for hours and hours from the pain. im real sorry to hear he has this. it makes me want to make a kids spondy site where they have games and things to do, as well as information that is on their level.

Actually we never have had a children's forum, but we did have a teen one. It never had much interest, and most of the teens spent more time posting in the main forum than the teen one, so it was discontinued some time ago. Just thought I'd bring up a little KickAS history for the newer members.

I dont think you are a jerk. Honestly I dont. Like I said to Johnny in another thread, differences of opinions are just that. No one is right or wrong.

They did have a young persons space here at one time. There was not enough activity. I also dont know how much I would trust another site as much as I do this one. See I have been here for a couple of years, and these people are my family. That is exactly how I think of them. I laugh with them, and cry with them. I associate with them on the forum and off. I call them, and they call me, etc....you get the picture. This is a place that I feel VERY comfortable leaving my son. Why not, I am leaving him with family. I just dont want that level of comfort to change. I dont want to have to tell Eric, sorry pal, cant go there any longer. How fair would that be for him.

I am by far the type of mom who says oh it is nothing. Get over it. I dont over react by any means, and his pedi has given me grief for not bringing him in sooner than I have at times, but I dont just poo poo his aches either..

Now that I have rambled on for ever over here, let me tell you welcome to the site. You will find that most of the time it is very pleasant and helpful. Or should I say welcome to the family, I have argued my point to you just as I would my sister
