I love this question! I remember the first time it was asked that was how I found all the people around me! Thanks Paul for bringing it up again. I think it is one that will never die.

I happen to live in 2 towns. I live/lived in Camarillo, CA all my life so I will post that but I am living in a small towm called Somis now where I grew up as a child. They don't have a website that I can find but I will show you the grade school I went to.... Somis has much, much history. A very old, small town.

Pete,

Cowboy hat, spurs and two six shooters on hips and man you would have given Clint a run for his money. Really Nice place.

I thought for sure that Ray (Icky) had answered this one on behalf of the Winnipeg contingency. Anyhow - here are some links for Winnipeg - one of our pages is undergoing development, so I'll pick out some highlights.

http://www.winnipeg-online.com/test/winnipeg_pictures/winnpics.asp

Under the Assiniboine Park section you can see one of my favourite places in Winnipeg - the Leo Mol gardens. Amazing.

Under the Kildonan Park section you can get an idea of the area that I live in - Our new home is approximately 15 streets away from there. It's beautiful.

Ray can fill you in on the places that he is closest to / likes the most.

Here's the page that's under construction:
http://www.winnipeg-online.com/test/

Here's the actual City of Winnipeg page:
http://www.city.winnipeg.mb.ca/interhom/

This is the site for the University of Manitoba.
http://www.umanitoba.ca - there are two campuses
The main campus (Fort Garry) http://www.umanitoba.ca/about/map/aerialwest.html
The Health Sciences campus (Bannatyne)
http://www.umanitoba.ca/academic/faculties/medicine/anatomy/MAIN.html(just an individual department's page with the photo I was looking for)

Hmmmm ... that's about it for right now. Ray did I miss anything really important?

Hugs,
Jeanna

PS - Just found another! Winnipeg Tourism (complete with top 10 reasons that people visit Winnipeg lists). http://www.tourism.winnipeg.mb.ca/twLeisure/tourismWinnipeg_thingsToSee_A10.html
