Hi,
No problems with alcohol here. I even once detected having much less pain after having drinked too much of Ouzo I believe it was(I'm talking about the other day of course). In general however I detect in my case no effects. But with the medicines most of us ar taking (NSAID's) it is always important not too much stress the stomach by drinking too much.
Best regards,
Gerard

Yep - I always get in pain within 1 hr of drinking any alcohol. Rats!
I've heard alcohol decreases the effectiveness of some meds. The different reactions may be due to different meds.

Now I'm not a lush or anything :) heehee... but I do kick back a few every sunday during the race. What I've found is that if I drink beer (even my beloved budweiser) I hurt more the next day (could it be a starch thing?). However if I drink wine or a martini (my favorite) I'm ok, providing I don't drink a 5th or something! LOL.... but seriously, it did make a difference for me when I figured out that the beer was making things worse.

It is however ironic that before I started seeing a doc for this stuff that my cure all was 2 BC powders and a cold budweiser. It honestly made my pain go away for almost 2 years. I swore by it. The doc thinks I'm an idiot, but hey it worked for awhile. The only med I'm currently on is Vioxx and drops for my eyes so I don't know if that makes any difference either....

Just my 2ยข.... GOod luck

That is strange when I drink I feel awesome the next few days then the normal stiffness sets in until I work out the following day.

If I drink more than a few budweisers ,like on a weekend,it gets me out of any immediate pain .If I rest the day after the following day is great,ie:no low back pain!

Alcohol : easy does it ! .

Up until last years work Christmas party , not a major concern . I normally get $#@^% faced only a couple times a year . I never been so sick in up in all my life , I was shouting Ralph/Hugie all threw the wee hours and well into the next day .

I was half expecting to see all my internal organs floating in the bowl , those damn NSAIDS are going to make a tea totaler out of me .

A couple of drinks are my limit , not if I what to talk to God all night long on the great white phone ( toilet) .

Taking it easy
