If you want to use this QR code (Quick Response code) just save the image and paste it where you want. You can even print it and use it that way. Coffee cups, T-Shirts etc would all be good for the QR code.

Hi, I am been on Indocin for a few months. When I first started taking it it took me a couple of weeks for my body to adjust to the drug. I was dizzy and nauseas alot of the time and had bad headaches. I thought I was over then that. The all of the suddon a couple of weeks ago the side effects came back, or at least I think they did. I have sick to my stomach, heart burn and at times extremely dizzy. I am trying to figure out if this is the medication or something else. I did not take a couple of doses and was in too much pain so I had to start taking it again. Has anyone had this problem with there meds? Oh the real bummer just when I need it the most I can't use my hot tub because I have been too dizzy. I have an appointment in two weeks just a regular followup and would like to wait until then to find out what the problem is, Do you think that is a mistake. Thank You Shari

Shari Took indocin for over 20 years... Are you making sure to only take it on a full stomach... That was the only time that I had trouble with it... Mike

I've been taking indocin for the past 10 years. It's the only one that gives me any relief. I've also experienced everthing you are talking about. Even when I eat when I take it, I get bad, bad heartburn and very sick to my stomach. My ddoctor gave cytotec along with the indocin. That works well. I also have tried prescription strength pepcid, zantac and others. They all give me pretty good relief of the stomach problems and are less expensive then the cytotec. I just take them at the same time I take the indocin, and bingo. No problems.....

Hi Shari, I was on Indocin for a little over 20 years also. Never had any problems with it. Am on Celebrex now and have no problems with that one either. Viox and Voltaren I have tried with little success. I know you will hear this a zillion times on here that what will work for one person will not neccessarily work for another. I can take indocin and celebrex with no food even with nothing to drink and have no ill stomach affect. Bob Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. Behold the beauty of Orca Art

Hi Shari, I was on Indocine for a few months and had a LOT of trouble. I had the room spinning around so much that I could see the back of my head. My Rheumy took me off the drug but I ended up in bed for two days. It was decided that Indocine was not the med for me. But of course everyone's body chemistry is different. Welcome to KA and take care, Lisa KickAS is more than a support group...it is a family!

shari, Indocin is the only med that helps the pain and doesn't bother my tummy. I got those side effects from many others I tried. We all react differently. I also take Cytotec with the Indocin and always with food. Can you call your rheumy and tell him/her about the sickness? My rheumy is surprised that I tolerate it so well. The newer stomach friendly[?] drugs do little to help the pain and make me sick. Hope things get better for you......... linda
